I don't have the link to the chart. I never said effects could't happen in sub-step 4. They do all the time. They are trigger effects. This is where Kuriboh's effect actually happens. I'm saying you have to discard him before the end of sub-step 3. I haven't seen any rulings where you can...
Kuribohs effect lasts the entire attack. I can discard it in response to the attack and the effect still happens. It doesn't trigger until Sub-step 4 though.
Checking lifepoints doesn't use the chain or wait on anything else to resolve. If you have 0 lifepoints before you draw that last exodia card you lose. If you draw the last card before you reach 0 you win. All you have to figure out is which effect happens first.
There is a card that states...
Yes, you have to activate Kuribohs effect in sub-step 3. It doesn't do anything until sub-step 4 when damage is caculated. Effects can't be activated in step 4 but they can trigger.
That is the one major problem with Yugioh. Not all cards do what is written on them. You have to read between the lines. You have to learn card rulings instead of game mechanics to be good at this game.
No, only one attack. Kuriboh only makes damage 0 for that 1 attack. The next attack will cause damage.
here is the ruling
http://lists.upperdeck.com/read/messages?id=4854#4854
During the damage calculation, similar to when a monster like "Airknight Parshath" would have you draw a card
Isn't it to late to modify the attack here? The damage has already been done.
I couldn't find the thread I was talking about. I can't find evidence of it but the damage step is different than the attack step.
When you attack and a chain is formed and then resolved you have the option to start a new chain before entering the damage step. The damage step is a little...
No but if you could have multiple chains then you could let IFL's effect resolve then activate mirror wall. We were told you can't do this. I'm looking for that thread right now.
If you can have multiple chains then this ruling is wrong.
The effect of "Mirror Wall" will reduce "Injection Fairy Lily"'s ATK by half before you decide to use its effect or not. So if you activate its effect, its ATK will be 3200. If 2 copies of "Mirror Wall" are active, its ATK will be...
I believe this follows the ruling with IFL and Mirror Wall. Kinetic Solider's effect will always be link 1 on the chain and Limiter will be second. You can't have multiple chains in the damage step.
It counts the cards when it resolves so anything put on the chain after its effect is activated would be in the graveyard before it started counting cards.
I accept the ruling. I don't agree with it though because it goes against the card text.
Draining Sheild Text
Negate the attack of 1 of your opponent's monsters and increase your Life Points by the attacking monster's ATK.
Rulings
You activate "Draining Shield" when the monster controlled by...
Part 1
The monster is no longer attacking because Magic Cylinder negated it. So Draining Shield will resolve but no life will be gained.
Edit: Seems I am wrong here. It looks like UDE rules says something different than what the card says.
Part 2
Ok as soon as you tribute for Dark...
Actually there are a few type of bulbs that take time to light up. I have no ideal what kind they are. I just know that in are warehouse it takes the lights about 5 minutes to light up after turning them on. This may not be the bulbs at all it could be the lamps.
