I highly doubt this, You are using a ruling for 2 mandatory effects to give a ruling on 1 optional and 1 mandatory (unless you have a Judge's List post to back this up that i haven't seen). The fact that Peten is an Optional Trigger should overrule any Spell Speed issues. SEGOC itself breaks...

I agree, It does not share the "When [this] happens, do [this]" functionality that most Trigger Effects do. It seems similar to having a like a permanent face-up Magic Cylinder or Mirror Force that you can activate at the time of declaration...both of which feature similar activation...

I totally agree, and i did this already in the last looong draw out thread regarding this, and clearly explained how it doesn't fit into the mechanics of the game at all. Then everyone turns around and says you have no "proof" ... and everytime i hear that statement i loose a little respect...

Well depending on who's Priority book you read from, you will get a different answer. If you go by the trend thats currently in place, the resolution of Premature/Call would give the Opponent priority first. But regardless of that, you could chain IRS to Bottomless, and still Special...
