    DMOC and Relinquished

Regardless... and im only saying this once... All text written in the text box of an "Effect Monster" is "Effect Text" and is thus an "Effect" no matter the interpretation. Konami simply deems this as non-negatable text. Plain and simple, condition or no condition... That is why they call...

    Card Trader

He means "stack" as in, will they add up together, for example, activating 4 will mean that the effect will apply 4 times like... 1+1+1+1 = 4. Vs. non-"stacking" where they simply don't add anymore effect, and simply add nothing to what is already there like...1+1+1+1 = 1

BTW... did they ever solve the End of Anubis issue with this card? ;) Just a yes or no will be fine...

    More questions about Chain Strike

I agree, but it doesn't mean that once activated (fully), the effect wont still resolve, if the conditions change after it has been bought, paid for and placed in the Chain Block. Yes, in order to have a successful activation, the condition(s) must stay true throughout the entire sequence, so...

    More questions about Chain Strike

Do you remember which one? or are you looking for it? It is possible, because unfortunately they seem to mess around with the word "activate" occasionally, and make it refer to the effect "activating and resolving". But usually that is only in targeted situations, where an intended target...

    More questions about Chain Strike

I've been out of the loop, so i haven't the foggiest about the rulings concerning Chain Strike... never even seen the card infact. 1.) This is definately illegal, so you are correct. 2.) That said, going with straight mechanics and templating, as long as you activated the first Chain...

    Ordeal of a Traveler

SEGOC the "C" stands for chain. Infact SEGOC scenarios are the very definition of chaining itself, as chaining does not refer to only manual effects. SEGOC has nothing to do with resolution directly, but activation. By creating 1 link you create a chain (in YGO terms), when u add a second...

Confusion with Sak, MC resolving with monster switching control

When a targeted effect looses it's target the effect disappears ...that means no effect resolution, but rather a sort of "negated" resolution. The is a difference between the negation of Magic Cylinder and fliping a monster into Defence Position with an effect of Book of Moon. Even though...

    Silly technicality?

Apprentice Magician's Trigger Effect should be considered a field effect, since it triggers while it is on the field. The timing of the activation doesn't make a difference here, triggers originate from the location of the card when the effect triggered...not where the card is when place on...

    ordeal of a traveler

I highly doubt this, You are using a ruling for 2 mandatory effects to give a ruling on 1 optional and 1 mandatory (unless you have a Judge's List post to back this up that i haven't seen). The fact that Peten is an Optional Trigger should overrule any Spell Speed issues. SEGOC itself breaks...

    ordeal of a traveler

I agree, It does not share the "When [this] happens, do [this]" functionality that most Trigger Effects do. It seems similar to having a like a permanent face-up Magic Cylinder or Mirror Force that you can activate at the time of declaration...both of which feature similar activation...

    Forced Back To Playground YGO?

I totally agree, and i did this already in the last looong draw out thread regarding this, and clearly explained how it doesn't fit into the mechanics of the game at all. Then everyone turns around and says you have no "proof" ... and everytime i hear that statement i loose a little respect...

    Forced Back To Playground YGO?

Guys i'm just making it clear to anyone else reading this, i don't think stating "unconfirmed" is enough. There is no Official public statement "proving" one way or the other at this point. Not from UDE anyway.

    Forced Back To Playground YGO?

To add, it should also be pointed out very clearly, that infact NEITHER theory/logic has ever been posted to the public in any way, shape, or form, in regards to response timing "lingering" or not (only IMHO hints towards it not lingering). A post on the LV3 list is NOT an official statement...

    Forced Back To Playground YGO?

They also can be refuted as well. Make no mistake, their level of understanding and info is no greater than many of us here. In some cases even less. The main difference is that their titles make their words somewhat "Official" ...but official <> correct (in the case of UDE).

    IRS/last will timing?

...and i never said you did. I was merely pointing out the odd nuance created by UDE's Priority mechanics currently in place. Like how the TP gains Priority after Premature Burial resolves, but not Magical Dimension, if a monster was destroyed.

    IRS/last will timing?

It's not confusion... it's simply that when you put Kevin's and Dan's statements regarding Priority together, you get inconsistancy, in terms of who gets what, when an effect resolves. To say that summon effect are a special case, sounds like UDE temporarily trying to cover bases, while they...

    IRS/last will timing?

I really don't see the difference between [Premature Burial] resolving and say [Snatch Steal]... a resolution is a resolution, in terms of a mechanic like Priority. At this point im not going to say i am for or against any one theory to avoid debate, because we've beaten it to death...

    IRS/last will timing?

Well depending on who's Priority book you read from, you will get a different answer. If you go by the trend thats currently in place, the resolution of Premature/Call would give the Opponent priority first. But regardless of that, you could chain IRS to Bottomless, and still Special...
