There is not "entry cost" per se for a Pro Circuit event, but they are by invitaion only. You get an invitaion as indicated above.

An attacker only readies if when you go into attack conclusion and there is no defender. Just because the character that was the defender later on in the turn leaves play, does't mean the character that was an attacker in a previous attack readies.

The effect would not dissapear, it would still resolve, but it will not do anything because Donna Troy is no longer in Play to KO. Other than that, it works exactly as you described.

That is correct. If even one attacker of a team attack is illegal, then entire attack is considered illegal.

While the words "target defender" does imply that, by the rules it doesn't make it so. The Plot Twist only cares that the character is a defender when you announce it, and when it resolves. Even if it stops being a defender after the effect resolved, it will continue to get the modifier.

It is only for this attack, not turn.
