I know STON's still about a month away from hitting the shores, but I've been trying to get some suggestions for the 2 decks I've had in mind for when the set is finally released. Both are focused on one of the 2 new Ritual Monsters coming out in the sets, and both utilize the Ritual user's dream spell, Advanced Ritual Technique.
For anyone not familiar with Strike of Neos, here's a description of the cards from the set included in this deck:
LYCANTHROPE
EARTH/6/2400/1800
Beast-Warrior/Ritual/Effect
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with "Synthetic Sorcery". Whenever this card deals Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, it also deals 200 damage for every Normal Monster in your Graveyard.
AWAKENED WARRIOR CUCHULAINN
LIGHT/4/500/1000
Warrior/Ritual/Effect
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with "Proof of Awakening". Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can remove a Normal Monster in your Graveyard from play to increase this monster's ATK by the removed monster's ATK until your next Standby Phase.
GENETIC WARWOLF
EARTH/4/2000/100
Beast-Warrior
FROSTSAURUS
WATER/6/2600/1700
Dinosaur
ANCIENT RULE
Spell
Special Summon one 5-star or higher Normal Monster from your Hand.
ADVANCED RITUAL TECHNIQUE
Ritual Spell
Send, from your Deck to your Graveyard, Normal Monsters whose total Star Level is equal to the Star Level of a Ritual Monster in your hand, and Special (Ritual? I hope so) Summon that Ritual Monster to your side of the field.
Okay, now that that's out of the way...on to the decks.
As you can probably tell, this deck is designed to do something Exodia decks generally don't do: GO ON THE OFFENSIVE. Lycanthrope loads my Graveyard with Skull Servants and the Exodia Pieces upon its summoning, readying King of the Skull Servants for dealing extra damage and prepping my Dark Factories for an out-of-nowhere victory should my opponent survive the beatings.
With this one, the idea is simple: Using high-ATK normal monsters to boost Cuchulainn to ridiculous amounts of ATK for a 4-star (easily started right away, even, as he'll have a 1900 or 2000 ATK boost in the GY the moment he's summoned by ART), pound the enemy flat. If they manage to survive that, Return all the monsters he used to power his effect and let them finish the job.
So, any thoughts on either/both of these?
NOTE: Please do not suggest any of the following:
SAMSARA - This would completely KILL both decks!
EXODIA NECROSS/CONTRACT WITH EXODIA - I'm considering sidedecking it in the Lycanthrope deck. Might be fun to surprise a Gadget deck with.
DRAGON'S MIRROR - I intend to sideboard it in the Cuchulainn deck.
HEART OF THE UNDERDOG - I want the Normals to go from Deck to GY. The Rituals will thin them out. This would be counterproductive.
JUSTI-BREAK - The Normals generally shouldn't be on the field except for a post-RftDD slaughter in the Cuchulainn deck, so this would generally be a dead pull.
(...Told ya!)
