Anyone got any good tech besides Betrayal on a way to stop CS?

I'm planning on running TT at PCNY, and I think CS is going to be my worse matchup.
 
*Shrugs* I'm not too sure, I know a bunch of people wanna stop CS at PCNY though. The only problem is, most of the time when you find a deck that's good against CS, it crumbles against all others, so yeah...

Well... since you're running Teen Titans... Hmm... All I can say is hope for the best of luck with your draws, if you get the stuff you need when you need it you'll win, although just an average draw from a CS deck can prove fatal sometimes.

Beyond Betrayal, nothing pops in my mind that's decent, and even Betrayal is only good on turn 7, and many games I've played with CS against TT I've won on turn 6. Now, regardless of what others may say, I've always had a horrible match up against Brave and the Bold, I don't know why, but I always have.

If you're looking for a way to stop CS and maybe have a shot at making day 2 then BNB is the way to go, either that or TNB (New Brotherhood), those are the worst match-ups I've ever had (and I run CS btw), my best have always been against straight TT, mirror matches, and recently with the addition of Total Anarchy any Cosmic Radiation deck build. Ever think about going old school and try a Wild Vomit deck? I lost to one of those once... but then again, I should have beaten it since I lost due to time being called and at the time I was still new to VS and I didn't know I had an extra turn to play.

If you want to try and think stuff up and then playtest it then let me know. I'll be arriving into New York around 10:15 AM or so (well at the motel in NJ around 10:45 AM at the latest) and we can get together and maybe just playtest a few things.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what's CS? I'm trying to line this up with the smattering of cards we have and I'm coming up blank.

Any chance of seeing a Sentinel deck this weekend in NY? I'm using that for now on the side and am having tons of fun with it. After the first 4 or 5 drops you can really have some fun with swarming and recursion of your robotic fiends. 8^D
 
Funny you should ask that and mention Sentinel's. CS stands for Curve Sentinels and it's the most dominant deck in the game today (it's like the Chaos of YGO). Since it's about 80% consistant it tends to be the most cookie cuttered deck out there and always has a well representation in major tournaments. There is a good chance that the majority of the field will be running Curve Sentinel this weekend in PCNY.

From the sounds of your deck, yours isn't curve... but if you're curious of what Curve is I'll post mine real quick right here.

4x Magneto, Master of Magnetism (the reason why people use Betrayal against CS)

Total: 60 cards total.

Of course I'm thinking over some changes to it currently this week, that's how my deck currently stands.
 
CS = Curve Sentinel, also, maybe try some Professor Hugo Strange, to prevent loads of army cards. That's just me though

PCNY is Golden Age actually, PC Amsterdam was Marvel Modern, and PC Indy in August will be DC Modern.

And as far as what John said above, that could work, but once again, if you focus on just CS you leave yourself vulnerable to most other deck types (Teen Titans for instance) that will also be there in full force, so it's very risky to try and find a way just to counter 1 single deck, you have to find something that works against CS, but doesn't slow your deck down too much against others.
 
Interesting! Yeah, I don't have quite that amount, but hte one I built had a Boliver, a Senator Kelly, a couple of the Plot Twists that allowed you to pull sentinels from your KO pile, which combod really nice with the plot twist that you could KO sentinels on the field to get an effect. I'd KO two or three low ballers, then get them right back and on the field. Tag teams were fun, and the non breakthrough feature of Sentinel Mark IV I think is PRICELESS. I'll have to post it around here and get your feedback. Thanks for the heads up on it!
 
My Titans deck can smash everything but CS... I'm thinking of adding in 4 death's in the family dropping the finishing moves and dropping the betrayals. My goal is going to be to keep the field clear so when turn 5 comes around they only have Nimrod with no counter on the field. If that happens then I know I can beat them even if they do manage a to get bastion and Magneto.

Another stupid idea which I'm going to try out just for fun is Teen Titans and Boris. Run 4 doomstadts and 4 Boris in a titans deck, maybe having the option to search out my plot twists will give me an advantage.

Or maybe run latverian embassy to shut down the reconstruction programs and the cover fires....
 
well anything that would affect the loner character on the field if it is targeting would get shut down by star of the show.

i had forgotten about it, but either way, i run it but rarely have it active.

also you know what would be kool, the Emeral / Revenge squad deck flying around.

thats nasty not to mention super green team with Oa and the 7 drop 9 will power Green Lantern character that would basically become 21 attack in an instant.
 
in the deck depot, you go there and post up the cards you use in your deck.

the best way is to seperate everything character by drop and how many you have, then the plot twits and then the locations, and then the equips if you have any etc.. etc..

I would think that Mark II targets since it's effect reads "Activate, discard a Sentinel character card from your hand --> Negate target activated character effect."
