I did a short report on the events of my weekend in Columbus, OH.

I thought I'd add in some extra stuff that I didn't realize I had kept written down here.

First off, I'd like to say that you can find the report here

Round 1 Vs. Teen Titan:

I crushed this TT deck, 31 to -4 was the end score.

Round 2 Vs. X-Men:

This was a closer match-up, this guy had a nice X-Men beatdown deck going, but in the end I pulled it out with a 13 to -5 score.

Round 3 Vs. Teen Titan:

Yet another TT match-up, I love facing TT decks, this one I won by the player conceding, I won it with 16 endurance left.

Round 4 Vs. Doom-Stall:

I had never in my life seen a Doom-Stall deck, but they're great! This guy so owned me up to turn 11. We made it to turn 11 after 2 Gamma Bombs and 2 Apocalypses had hit the board (I put up a fight, :p), but he beat me in the end 31 to -4.

Round 5 Vs. Common Enemy:

I normally have good match-up's against Common Enemy but I don't know what happened here, I just didn't draw anything later in the game. I ended up conceding this one when he was only at 13 left, I must have really had nothing.

Round 6 Vs. Curve Sentinel:

Ok, I've got an extra note about this match-up, this was a mirror match of sorts since we were both running Curve Sentinels, but to my surprise I later realized why this guy's name seemed so familiar. This was me Vs. Mark Slack, the 9th ranked player in the world and the guy who took 2nd (the loser to Ryan Jones if you want to say that) at PC LA. I ended up getting a God Hand against this guy and he was pissed in the end and conceded with 19 endurance left (I was only at 12 left, but I had hit a God hand with two Genoshas and Magneto on turn 7). In any case, I was 4-2 now and I had just beat Mark Slack!!!

Round 7 Vs. Teen Titan:

I love those TT match-ups... this was the match that I made my mistake in. If I had not blown up Genosha on turn 4 just to attempt to save my Mark V, I would have been all right. But in any case, I blew up Genosha and ended up losing on turn 6 because I couldn't get Bastion out to rule with (since I was a resource down). I lost 23 to 0 on this one... I made a note on my paper to never EVER! Blow up a Genosha that early again.

Round 8 Vs. New Brotherhood:

I had a bad experience against one of these in the Durham PCQ a month ago in swiss, it was the only match-up I lost that tournament in the swiss. This game was extremely close however and I knew it would be. The end score was -4 to -6 my win.

Round 9 Vs. Brave and the Bold Equip:

I got my tail handed to me by this guy... although he was drawing about 4 or 5 cards every turn... (and that was just outside the draw phase). In any case, we were tied 9 to 9 in the last turn and I had no way I could stop his attacks so I went ahead and conceded the game.

Round 10 Vs. Brotherhood beatdown:

I never saw a Genosha hit the field or New Brotherhood, so I think it was just a straight Brotherhood deck. I ended up winning this one, although I can't remember what the score was (and I didn't write it down), I just have the last scores as being 8 to 11 his lead, I guess I whooped up on him that last turn.

Round 11 Vs. ?:

I can't remember what deck this was and I had forgotten to write it down, but this guy was a cool guy. I ended up losing the game to him and once again didn't know the score, but in this turn it was 5 to 10 his lead in the final turn, so I guess it was his initiative since I didn't pull off a win. In any case, this loss put me at 6-5 for the day, a miserable ending IMO, although I now feel happy that I at least beat Mark Slack in round 6. Overall I was 56th in the 193 player field... not too bad of an ending, but I knew it could have been way better if I hadn't blown up that freakin' Genosha in round 7... I'll forever bang my head over that one.

Anyways... that's just a little addition to the report, hope it was a good read for you guys...
