Dark World, Card Destruction, flips

here's a scenario I was in that I wasn't sure when I could activate a trap card in response to my own Card Destruction... here it is:

Opponent has one monster, Brron, on their side of the field and 4 cards in their hand.
I have a set Morphing Jar #2 and a set Desert Sunlight and Level Limit Area B on my side from the previous turn. I have 5 cards in hand with Card Destruction.

In MP1 I play Card Destruction and I discard my hand and draw and then my opponent discards and draws and I see that he's discarding 2x Goldd and 1x Silva.

I want to activate Desert Sunlight to flip my Morphing Jar #2 up to activate his effect in response to Goldd and Silva's effects activating (per NTP's order) but am not sure when his FLIP effect resolves... does it go on the current chain and therefore resolve before the Goldd/Silva come of the field or does it start a new chain once the current one resolves?

Short Answer:
It would resolve after. The effect would activate in the middle of resolving a chain, so it activates after the current chain resolves.

Long Answer:

Chain 1:
Link 1: Card Destruction
«No Response. Resolve:»
Link 1: Players discard and draw.

Chain 2:
Link 1: Goldd
Link 2: Goldd
Link 3: Silva*
Link 4: Desert Sunlight
«No Response. Resolve»
Link 4: Morphing Jar is flipped. Its Flip Effect doesn't activate immediately since you are still resolving a chain.
Link 3: Silva is summoned and does his thing.
Link 2: Gold is summoned and does his thing.
Link 1: Gold is summoned and does his thing.

Chain 3:
Link 1: Morphing Jar
...etc

In Chain 2, Goldd and Silva are mandatory Trigger effects, so they activate immediately. Only afterwards can you respond with Desert Sunlight.

*Or however the NTP decides to resolve it.

awesome, thanks! that's how we played it and I wanted to be sure that my Morphing Jar #2 resolved after the Goldd's and Silva hit the field since it would shuffle them back in and force him to pick up cards until he had four monsters...

True that each of the Dark World monsters is summoned in it's own link and resolves separately but the question is, will Morphing Jar #2 resolve it's effect if it is selected by the effect of Goldd or Sillva? I'm thinking that Morphing Jar # 2 will not resolve it's effect because it is no longer on the field when the effect tries to resolve. So, activating Desert Sunlight to flip Morphing Jar #2 will not work since it was targetted by the effect of Goldd or Sillva.

Flip Effects resolve regardless of if their on the field when they go to resolve, unless the effect is dependant on the monster remaining on the field, like Brain Jacker. Otherwise, removing it from the field isn't going to matter.

If "Morphing Jar #2" didn't resolve if it left the field before it's effect resolved, then it's effect would never work unless it was attacked and destroyed by Battle. In pretty much every other scenario it will shuffle itself back into the deck along with all the other monsters.

It would be rather silly if it needed to stay on the field for it's effect to successfully resolve...don't you think?

yep that would be silly, I'd never play it then... in fact it's even better that it gets destroyed after being flipped up and activated since it doesn't get shuffled in and you don't risk dumping cards into the GY like your opponent's cards. That's why I like that little flipper.
