The combo potentials are enormous, really, and bad draws DO happen, but not all that often. Hand disruption is of course usually the biggest threat. This was meant pretty much for the OTK only, though it could happen many ways. The only 2 of 4 card always needed in the hand are Advanced Ritual Art and Demise, the other two can be a random variation of many of the others. Premature and Megamorph. Doom Dozer and Megamorph. Doom Dozer and Metamorphosis. Premature and Metamorphosis.
I found it very fun, really, I went up against Dark World, and won, a mirror match, and lost (by one turn both games, my next draw was a clencher each time), Phoenix/Zombie recursion and won, Toolbox and lost, barely, mostly due to a /heavy/ hand disruption sidedeck I was not expecting, though it still almost did not save him, it went to the third game, and got caled on time, though even when it did, my last draws would have been dead.... I got a bit demoralized there, because having time called always tends to get to a person, and I knew he was stalling, too, he kept checking my graveyard every couple of turnss like things were changing in there or something. Played another toolbox kind of deck after that, though it was heavy on Snipe Hunters, and he wasn't afraid to use them, and he used them a lot, that went to a third game as well, and I had to make my move as all my stall was gone, and my LP was dwindling, and fell victim to a Ring like I expected would happen to finish me off in chain to my activation of Demise, since he had managed to Snipe away my Royal decree, after prematuring his Snipe Hunter and I couldn't activate the other one I had in my hand that I had side decked them all in. It was just a good duel overall with no mistakes that I could see. The final one I went up against was a Six Samurai deck I knew would be trouble, as I built my brother one and playtested this against it, and they're fast, damned fast, and all sorts of tricks to get around my monsters, with little I can really do about them except do what I can to keep more than one off the field. I would say luck was on my side, he kept getting hosed on the Samurai, but I got one of teh the absolute worst draws possible for my deck in my opening hand, both Metal Armored Bugs, an Insect Knight, and neither of the ritual pieces, or a Manju, so my work was cut out for me, but I suppose it had to happen sometime, afterall. I did end up losing, but it took a LONG time, amazingly, and then second game, I had to make a move against a swarm of three, or I was dead next turn, even though I had all the pieces for the win, just no protection, and I just fell victim to the the chained Ring to Demise's Activation as I feared. I knew after that, that I was quite tired, and I had definitely seen enough Ring of Destruction again to know that the card is just too damned powerful, but I know so is Demise in the right hands.
Anyway, there's the deck, there's the report, I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot more all about this in the weeks to come. Here I thought I was being a little bit original, and yet, there were normal monsters and Demises ALL over the place! I mean, you try, and try, to move away from the norm, and what happens....
