DeVille Devastaion v 2.0

I agree with taking out Wabokus for Threatening Roars but I'm kind of against both. If a card does not give you any pinch of advantage, I say you don't run it. Sakuretsu Armors give you somewhat of an advantage over the field, while Waboku's will only prolong your advantage (if you are lucky enough to have one) longer than it should be. And another thing I hate about Wabokus is when someone tributes for Jinzo, you DESPERATELY want to use it, sometimes you try but you're not allowed. Sometimes knowing that you can't use it because the timing is wrong is better than it being negated.

And we all know that Sakuretsu Armor does so much better against the Bait Doll-heavy, EXTRMELY Dust Tornado-heavy meta. Threatening gives you an enormous advantage, because it baits removal while at the same time holds off your opponent. Good tech, good stall, good mental-war card.

Well after some playtesting at the Sneak Peak, here is what may be the final build:

{2} Mazera DeVille
{2} Dark Ruler Ha Des

{2} Terrorking Archfiend
{1} Giant Orc
{3} Goblin Attack Force
{2} Goblin Elite Attack Force
{1} Gigantes
{1} The Rock Spirit
{3} Warrior of Zera
{2} Marauding Captain
{1} Exiled Force

{1} Giant Trunade
{1} Scapegoat
{1} Soul Exchange
{1} Premature Burial
{1} Mystical Space Typhoon
{1} United We Stand
{1} The Warrior Returning Alive
{2} Reinforcement of the Army
{3} Pandemonium
{1} Terraforming
{1} Brain Control
{1} Snatch Steal
{1} Heavy Storm
{1} Dark Hole

{2} Spiritual Earth Art - Kurogane
{1} Sakuretsu Armour
{1} Call of the Haunted
{1} Torrential Tribute
{1} Deck Devastation Virus

I can use Spiritual Earth Art to replace a defense position GAF etc with one from my Graveyard, or a Warrior of Zera to bring it back for use with Mazera. I used it in a duel when Cyber Jar went off. He flipped it, I chained Earth Art and tributed a GEATF, brought out a Zera. On my turn I brought out Mazera.

Why does that mechanically not make any sense to me? *is lost*

I had four or five monsters out when he flips Cyber Jar on HIS turn.

Since my monsters were going to be destroyed anyways, I activated Spritual Earth Art in response on my Goblin Elite Attack Force. Cyber Jar then goes off, destroying my monsters, and then the Spiritual Earth Art went off allowing me to get my Warrior of Zera (both are Level 4 Earth monsters).

It is like using Deck Devastation Virus on an Orc that is about to be picked off by a Sprit Reaper. I used this tactic before and completely destroyed his field (MoF, Apprentice were the two face downs).

I think it works. If it does, it can be quite effective in swapping out an Orc in defense with a GAF or GEAF. Easy way to block Cyber Dragons, etc.

Great swarming capability also. :)

That is mechanically unsound. Chain begins:

He flips Cyber Jar, it becomes link 1 of the chain.
You chain Earth Art, and it becomes link 2.

Chain resolves in reverse order.

Earth art summons a new monster.
cyber blows the field to kingdom come.

Did I get that right? Because if that is what you're saying, earth art didn't help at all.

I can't see what benefit puppet magic would have here. Ha Des cannot be summoned from the grave, Deville cannot be summoned except by, and there is virtually no advantage in swapping one lv4 for another, except for the things that earth art can already do.

DMU, it looks to be that your only option for bringing out the Terrorking IS 2 Maurauding Captain.

However, I think Terrorking is an excellent card to have, for his negation, dice rolling, and DDV options

With a couple of small adjustments, you double your opportunity to do this.
-1 Goblin Attack Force
+1 Archfiend Soldier
Your monster force is not going to be crippled by the loss of 1 GAF. The searching power of RotA will ensure that. But another Archfiend will help normal summoning Terrorking.

- United We Stand
+ Axe of Despair
As powerful as UWS can be, Ive often found that Mazera decks are frequently at 1 monster. Don't ask me why, it just happens. Even more so with a deck like yours that many monsters have the drawback effect of switching to weaker DEF, and the others are tech cards that dont last for too long either.
Axe will satisfy the requirement for one more Terrorking option.

And that's it. You have tested and played the deck, so I don't want to suggest too many alterations.

Puppet Magic could be side decked, but Im not overly sure about its efficiency in this deck. Just a gut feeling though, really.
