Lately, double posting has been rampant throughout the city. Double posting can best be defined as posting to a thread, and then posting again shortly after, with no other people having posted in between.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have an "Edit" button for a reason. Please use it. If you post within a thread, and then realize you forgot something and want to include it, please edit your most recent post rather than create a new post. I know the thought is "But if I edit my previous post, someone reading it may not catch it." What I always do is type a line at the end of the previous post that looks something like this:

EDIT: Oops, I should mention this as well.

In fact, there's even a nifty smilie provided by our very own Digital Jedi that looks like this: :edit that I prefer using because it's so cool and grabs a reader's attention.

Please be aware that double posting will no longer be tolerated. Myself and the other moderators will be cracking down on this.

Please note, there is some leeway with this. Let's say a post goes days without a reply, and yours was the most recent. Feel free to add any additional information you see worthwhile in a new post. These are common in Trade Threads, Deck Threads, etc. Also note, I said "some" leeway. If you're worried that someone will not see your most recent edit, wait until there is a reply and then in your reply to that, if you have one, make a note that you edited the previous post.

Cleaning up these threads can be tedious at times, but we the moderators feel that cleaner threads make for better reading for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
