fake hero

so let's pretend that e-heros don't have a ridiculous amount of support and take this card at face value.

Fake Hero
Normal Spell

Special Summon 1 "Elemental Hero" monster from your hand. This turn, that monster cannot attack, and returns to its owner's hand during the End Phase.

this isn't much on its own, but i'm pretty sure it's designed to be combo'd with other cards.

i have the same question, but in two flavors:

1). i play fake hero
1b. summon e-hero wildheart
1c. i play polymerization (wildheart + necroshade)
1d. during the end phase, does wildheart return to my hand from the grave?

2). i play fake hero
2b. i summon neos
2c. i normal summon a neo spacian
2d. contact fusion a neo spacian dealy and return neos and the neo spacian to my deck. shuffle.
2e. does neos come back to my hand from my deck?

granted, this sounds like a pretty cut and clear question (no he doesn't return to your hand if he's in the grave or deck) but i'm reminded of the ruling on guardian tryce:

Guardian Tryce
Effect Monster (Thunder / LIGHT / 5 Stars / ATK 1900 / DEF 1700)

This card can only be Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned when there is a "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce" on your side of the field. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon to your side of the field the monster in the Graveyard that was used for the Tribute Summon of this card.

ruling:
You can Special Summon a monster in your opponent's Graveyard if it was used to Tribute Summon "Guardian Tryce".

and this proves to me, there are ygo cards that return to you like a trusty boomerang

Nice try but... no. If the monster leaves the field (to Graveyard, Deck, wherever), it's not going to return to your hand. Just look at any Spirit monster in the game. If your Asura Priest is destroyed, it's not coming back to your hand.

Tryce is just different, in its own class. Of course if the monster that was tributed to summon Tryce leaves the Graveyard, it won't be special summoned either.

you're right. it does follow spirits. dunno why i didn't think of that comparison. but that nagging part of my mind says that since the card doesn't restrict the card from where it returns to the hand from, it keeps thinking that it'll just *poof* appear.

maybe there's just a game mechanic thing or something more technical that'll ease my slower side.
