FienDillie-O: Corrupting the Forbidden

Dillie-O

Council of Heroes
EDIT: Updated 6/6/2005 for some new tactics and suggestions...

Greets all,

This started out as a building challenge back in my clan, but I've always been itching to flesh this thing out and play with it. This is a fiend deck that has finally corrupted the forbidden, none other than Exodia itself. To some extent, its not that hard to see where its going, so here's the layout:

Dark Ruler Ha Des

A couple intial notes after some playtesting. I need Spell/Trap removal. That should have been a given, but I was too focused on drawing power.

The Royal Magical Libraries serve as defenders, and as a means to get me some extra drawing, after a pair of Upstarts and a Pot of Greed has been played.

However, I think I need to slant it more fiendish. Considering Emissary does count for its effect when tributed, I might have to drop an Airknight for a Dark Ruler or other fiendish notable to keep things active. Or maybe put in a Dark Necrofear to take advantage of all those Mimics and Emisarries going to the graveyard.

The pair of Exodia Necross might be pushing things a little. Maybe I should drop one Necross, but keep the other Contract ot make sure Necross makes it out, but also have tribute material for Monster Reincarnation if needs be.

Please rip it to shreds and thanks in advance for any tips you have!

I'm surprised you didn't opt for my favorite combination here: "Metamorphosis" + "The Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler". The first is a great way to get your Emissary and Critter to the Graveyard to get their effect and the second to then remove that fusion from play to special summon them back to the field for a second usage. Plus in a Fiend Deck, TPMoDR can really help you Recycle some of your stronger fiends without letting your opponent get a monster back or rely upon him to have 1 in the GY to start with (ala The Shallow Grave).

Aye carumba! Talk about a disgrace to the fiend community! I can't believe I completely missed that one! Just don't let my fellow Monarchs know or I'm busted! 8^D

Chaosruler had mentioned that one too, so I'm going to have to get that one going. I always seem to miss the beauty of Puppet Magic, maybe I just don't quite think that way.

Thanks for the tip! Keep it flowin'!

hmm ok

ok, i know we talked about my ideas on msn dillie but i will post here so you can also get more input from other people

monsters
-1 Royal Magical Library

will bring ur total count to 40

i know you want to keep theme but i would also take out the 2 dark minns and put peten clown inx3

magics
- Last Will
-2 neckless

+2 Creature Swap
+1 graceful

traps
- 2 solem

+2 goblin house keeper or 1 call of hunted and then something else

now, i tryed keep to your theme with ideas i said

like i said on msn, vs stall just take out necross and put anti stall

Was I even more blind?

Where's the Critter?!?

Heavy fiend use and no Sangan... the friendliest fiend for an Exodia deck? Dude... I'm about to revoke your fiend license here.

I know, I know. This was an old Deck Studio copy of it. I have Sangan in there, to be sure. I'm still debating about the Metamorphosis/Puppet Magic option only because I'm digging the Creature Swap idea mentioned above by PADuk.

Sheesh densetsu_x, you're relentless 8^D Might have to see how much fiend you have sometime 8^D

Is that an open challenge? :)

And I just happen to be building a new deck as well. I'd be more than willing to match your Fiendish Exodia deck with the insanity I'm looking at coming up with. I'll even give you a bit of a hint... it's a bit of a Warrior/Spellcaster hybrid with a touch of Zombie. I'll banish your fiends back to hel... er... wait... must give the proper translation here... back to Pandemonium!

Alrighty folks, I've taken a different turn with this deck and also updated it for the new ban list. I'm of the persuasion that searching / thinning is more powerful than a speed draw engine for Exodia, so here's the new tactic involved:

Toon Cannon Soldier + Emissary tribute = Search + Damage.

In additon, it opens up the Metamorphosis options. Spirit Barrier allows me to suicide the Mimics, Emissaries, Sangans, and Germs without fear of LP damage. Here's the update:

Deck Name: FienDillie-O: Corrupting the Forbidden
Count: 40

Monsters: 20

Tribute:
Airknight Parshath
Dark Ruler Ha Des

Non-Tribute:
Dark Mimic LV1
Dark Mimic LV3
Des Lacooda
Emissary of the Afterlife x3
Exodia the Forbidden One
Giant Germ x3
Left Arm of the Forbidden One
Left Leg of the Forbidden One
Magician of Faith
Mystic Tomato
Right Arm of the Forbidden One
Right Leg of the Forbidden One
Sangan
Toon Cannon Soldier

Spells:12
Creature Swap
Dark Factory of Mass Production
Last Will
Messenger of Peace
Metamorphosis
Monster Reincarnation
Swords of Revealing Light
The Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler x2
Toon Table of Contents x3

Traps:8
Backup Soldier
Magic Drain
Magic Jammer
Sakuretsu Armor x2
Seven Tools of the Bandit
Spirit Barrier x2

Fusion Monsters: 9
Darkfire Dragon x3
Dragoness the Wicked Knight x3
Karbonala Warrior x3

A couple concerns still with the deck. Dark Ruler...Getting him Creature Swapped could prove quite nasty for me. However since Meta and TCS proves more of an aggressive approach, that may not be as much of an issue. Ultimate Offering...Should one go in here? After a TCS summoning, I would love to get as many Emissaries that are in my hand out and flowing.

As always, any thoughts are ALWAYS appreciated.
