Ok im starting a new podcast called oddly enough get it off your chest and it got me thinking. Why not let people have several ways of getting things off their chests.

Come on in and complain about whatever has got you riled up today. Whatever just irks you say it here and get it off your chest.

You mean, a "What Grinds My Gears" thread? Could work. I don't have anything to complain about today, though. Except for, maybe, that I wish once you buy a software product and spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on it, that you should be eligible for every upgrade if that software and not have to buy it again. Just seems like a racket to me.

Keeping this theme in the realm of Yugioh; the distribution system in place for the past 4 or 5 sets that almosts guarantees upper deck that even purchasing mulitple boxes won't get you all of the cards in the set; then to piggy back on that development, the lack of useful cards per last 6 or 7 sets. All a waste of space and money and we need to unite against it.

I disagree with you on the term of "lack of useful cards". Just because you lack the skills to use them doesn't make the cards useless.

I agree because the last few sets or so there haven't really been any playable cards and there's only 60 cards in every set. It just doesn't make sense to me and it really makes me not want to go to the sneak peeks because the cards in the set are so bad

Depending on how long you've been playing the game, then that's an overused statement. Ever since Invasion of Chaos, every single set has been called "useless" to a more or lesser degree. The only time you don't hear a lot of complaints is when yet another Cookie Cutter card generates from a set. But the fact of the matter is that the only time you hear complaints, is when the cards from the set aren't overly broken, or when none of the cards fit into the current SJC build.

I want to get rid of my DS but no one wants to buy it off me. =/ I'm just selling it for like $65. =/ Its just frustrating. =/ Is that too high or something??? People keep giving me that weird look when I say that price.

That any me wanting to upgrade my computer. The stuff that I currently have on it just won't let me go crazy. I can't even put DDR RAM into it. Thats how old it is. =/

As much as I hate to admit it, life does take some money. =/

What grinds my gears is other people. Their will to have no respect for others, only make themselves happy at the expense of others, and fear of change are prime examples. Duelists like the very simple decks that are dubbed Cookie Cutters, and every set the majority of everyone only looks for another card that could overturn the game (There IS about a couple that makes the cut every set). They don't take risks, they don't learn other strategies, they don't learn the rulings, develop awesome deck types no-ones thought of, and all they care about is their next SJC win. All those people are what burns me.

Cool. A place to vent steam...The new sets kinda burn me a bit. I saw four boxes open and not 1 Ultra Rare! One box only had 4 holos in it! Back when they first started releasing sets, you were almost guaranteed to get two Ultras. If not, at the very least 7 holos per box. Now a days, you're lucky if you get 6 holos per box. That and some of the popular cards being WAY too hard to find. I saw a CASE of Power of the Duelist opened, and not a single Overdragon! Does that seem like a problem to anyone else?

The other thing that gets me is, nobody picking up after themselves during the Tournament! People leave food wrappers, drink cups, open packs, etc EVEYWHERE! I am a Judge, not a MAID! (Sorry, a bit of a sore subject with me...)

Venting, venting, gone. MUCH better now...

You know what really burns my butt? A fire about three feet high! Hah! Useless cards: I thought Dancing Elf was useless until I saw it in a deck recently. It's the only 1 star Wind. Go figure! Umm, let's see....venting....Oh, I know!! I hate it when get on thread and talk about whatever, instead of sticking to the subject. Then, just to make it look like they are on subject, they add some lame comment about nothing that mentions the subject.

Oh, and I hate hypocracy. Mainly 'cause I can't spell it.

I hate UDEs new tournament locater. Either nobody in ireland is hosting tournies no more or they cant or wont list them online.

I also hate their player ratings page. i used to be able to search by using a persons UDE number. Not any more i cant. Damn them.

Honestly I think the Irish T.O.'s are just too lazy uploading tournament results. Went to a Dublin tournament on the 7th this month, and it still isn't uploaded at all. Not like I did well or anything, but I would still gain a few points hehe.

Other things I hate is how people have lost the meaning of the word "Cookie Cutter" and complain how anything with a few decent cards in it are "CC". And believe me, I've heard "Bazoo Return" being called a "Cookie Cutter". A definition I found:

Cookie-Cutter: Used to describe any deck that is copied extensively due to its popularity and ease of creation. Also known as 'netdecking', as many of the Cookie Cutter decks are believed to have been spawned from those of the top winners of important tournaments as their winning decks are traditionally placed on the tournament's website for public viewing.

I'm annoyed by my memory. I just remembered that I should have handed in a couple of homeworks online this lunchtime.

I wrote a whole bunch of other stuff here, but it was a rant so I moved it somewhere safe.

People who abbreviate annoy me, particularly when it's things like posting a Deck list. "Yeah, I've got a Saku, a MST, SSkull, 3 CED" etc. etc.

Seriously, guys, you're in no rush, and it looks a lot nicer to write out the cards in full, then get the autolinking thing in there to make it all nice and pretty. The autolinking also serves to give quick reference to people who may have forgotten what some of the cards are.

Also, abbreviations in general, particularly on message boards. You're honestly in no hurry to make your post, so take the time to pretend to be a normal human being and write properly.

You know, I should add that to my list of gripes.

And to add to that, punctuation is every one's friend. So is capitalization. Spelling is relative. Not everyone has a Spell Checker in their toolbar, nor has the time to use one every post. Mistakes happen. But just assuming we know where you intended your sentence to begin and where their supposed to end is just insane. You took the time to sit in front of your keyboard and type. How much extra effort is it to move your pinkie a half a centimeter and hold down the Shift key?
