Hmm... Whenever I think of Gilford the Lightning, I tend to think less of "chaos-stuff" and more of "big warrior guy: blow up crap"!:D

To me, Gilford is like a big, overgrown Zaborg the Thunder Monarch. Now, the biggest problem with both Gilford and Zaborg is that they don't search out at all in the Advanced Format. So, my idea is to run a few more of them while focusing on the secondary aspect of finding ample tribute fodder.

I've lately been praising the potential of Gilasaurus/The Shallow Grave + Soul Exchange to get out big monsters. Gilasaurus and Zaborg pretty much go hand in hand, and with Ultimate Offering, getting Gilford out with his effect isn't too hard.

So...
-Chaos Sorcerer
+Gilford the Lightning

-Jinzo (if you're willing)
-Exarion Universe
+Zaborg the Thunder Monarch (x2)

-Marauding Captain x2
+Gilasaurus x2

-Don Zaloog; it's really up to you, but one monster needs to go to add...
+Kaiser Sea Horse

-Reinforcement of the Army x1
+Soul Exchange

Just a thought.

Activate DD Capsule in Main Phase 1 of your turn 1.
Then your turn 2: Standby Phase #1.
Then your turn 3: Standby Phase #2. Then you can take that card in your hand. It needs to survive for two turns.

But other then that, it looks like an interesting deck.

I've seen someone try Gilford & Moisture Creature in the same deck. That idea was quickly scrapped.

Shonen Jump doesn't know what they're smoking with the three Embodiments for Gilford. That's a four card combo. At least my combo- oh wait, it needs four cards, too. Never mind.

dude, all you need is 1 Kaiser Sea Horse, 1 embodiement and thats it.

its a 2 for 1. i mentioned 3x embodiment if you were willing to attack with them. that was all.

its probably one of the faster ways to get out 3 normal type monsters to be able to use Delta Attacker on. think about it, thats 3 x 1600, and if you pump them up in any way shape or form its more damage.

its not a combo that you pull off opening hand but mid game can be devestating. if you last mid game with thouse 3.

I took out Don for Kaiser, and Chaos Sorcer is out for Airknight (until I get my hands on a Zaborg).

I'm DYING to get my hands on an Embodiment of Apophis!! Even before I constructed this deck. It's hard though, we don't get the Shonen Jump promos here (easily anyway).

yea but its in the new magazine. why not order one online? if your a subscriber you also get a demo for the new PS2 game Dragon Quest 8 :D
