So did anyone attend the Legion of Superheroes Sneak Preview?

I ran the one in my area and surprisingly, the turnout was kinda low. Given that it was also the same day as the Cal game, it was still kinda low. We got only 2/3 of our usual number of players. =/

That being said, I still haven't touched any of the product as of right now. Except for the EA of course. XS does look pretty hot. =P

Anyone have any opinions on the set and what the possible 'money card' is, besides "Mobilize"?

I went to the one here in NC. Turnout was sub par but we had enough people. This set wasn't hyped that much and money may be tight for people this time of year. The set is ok but nothing like Crisis was. Looking at some cards I think Curse of Darkness is the next to get banned or errated out of this set. There is quite a few combo's that can be pulled with it.

Curse of Darkness
Cost: 3
As an additional cost to play Curse of Darkness, discard a card.
Remove target non-stunned Darkseid's Elite character you control from the game. At the start of the next combat phase, put that card into your front row.

we had low attendance too... in fact I got reports from everywhere reporting low turnouts. Curse of darkness is garbage. Cosmic tuning fork, created from hate, and new recruits could all end up being good cards depending on how good the teams are in constructed formats. I personally think Darkseid Elite could end up being pretty good in modern, though that has yet to be seen... especially with marvel teamup being released before the next modern age

Curse of Darkness isn't garbage. You just have to think outside the box when deckbuilding. This and 4 drop Dr. Doom says abuse me. If played right you can get two 4 drop Dooms in play on turn 5. Not to mention each time Doom comes back into play you can flip it face down and use it again. Throw in the control doom has and you have an easy stall deck.
