New mechanic in Avengers...

All right, I just finished reading the preview over at metagame.com on the new Captain America card and I have to say that the "Leader" mechanic that they've introduced into this set seems very interested. I have to admit, I was very upset when Marvel Knights came out and the concealed mechanic was introduced, I just thought it was too big of a change too soon with the game not even out a year yet at the time.

This Leader mechanic doesn't confuse me so much, it seems very straight forward and I guess taking the page from Magic, they've continued to explain what their mechanic means after the text Leader. on the card.

I was wondering what everyone else's thoughts were on this new mechanic, do you think you could come up with some interesting deck ideas utilizing it? I know I'm already foaming at the mouth to see what other characters have the "Leader" power and exactly what their individual power is so I can try to work out an all Leader type deck.

Avengers looks like it'll be a very fun set to play in sealed for sure.

The LEADER mechanic sounds like a good idea in my opinion. I think it opens up a lot of different options for cards to utilize this mechanic.

I'm going to be interested to see what plot twists and going to reference it.

It also seems to fit the comic book super hero theme, every good team had a leader in the comics so why not transpose that on the card game. Very cool...
