Disqualification without Prize @ Sneak Preview

In the case of a DQ without Prize, is it possibel to take away the players start booster.
Some People in a German Forum argue that its an appropriate methode to do so.
I see some troubles coming with it. For example:
The player payed already 18€ for it, taking away those booster without giving back the money it seems kind of unfair.
I never read or heard about this before so I just want to know if this is the right way to handle it.
