"Hiding" your cards?
from UDE's Player Management Forums
Morning all.
I'm just a regular player and at my locals yesterday, the following YuGiOh scenario came up:
(I was asked because I usually know what to do regarding rulings and whatnot. As this was a local in a comic store, the TO was busy with some customers and I was told to sort it out)
So, the way I resolved it was: Since Player B didn't check the entire field of play before making his move, it's his own fault for falling into the trap.
Was that the right decision?

Morning all.
I'm just a regular player and at my locals yesterday, the following YuGiOh scenario came up:
Player A has a monster on the field and a spell/trap card face-down.
He's holding his hand with his elbows on the table and is unintentionally leaning over his face-down card.
Player B then summons a monster and Player A activates his Bottomless Trap Hole.
Player A objects and accuses Player B of hiding his face-down.
At this point I was asked to come in and resolve this issue, even though I was in a game of my own. He's holding his hand with his elbows on the table and is unintentionally leaning over his face-down card.

I asked what the problem was and resolved it as such:
I asked Player B if he was 'hiding' his face-down, and he honestly told me that he wasn't.
I then asked Player A if he asked Player B prior to the incident if he could move his hands to check if there's a face-down on the field and he said ''No''.
