How to manage teams

With the number of people playing the various games, it's only natural that people would begin to form teams. Personally, I'm glad to see people working together and having fun, but unfortunitly, for every few good teams (good meaning following the rules, not play skill) there's always going to be a less scrupulous one.
Now, I figure very few judges/TO's, especially one's that regularly work large events, would be ignorant enough to think that there wouldn't be problems. Especially, at least in my experience, when you have two teammates paired together.
I guess what I'm asking is, what are some ideas, that would allow you to keep an eye on the teams, without distrupting everything else you need to get done? I'm not saying only people on teams cheat, or that all teams do, but as I said, there will always be some that try to get away with stuff, which is obviousally what we have to keep an eye on.
