Small group of players - To/Judging difficult
from UDE's Player Management Forums

The groups that I've started playing with re 5-6 people only... which means with a judge/TO the pool of players of 4 or 5 only.

The rules state that the judge/TO cannot play. I agree with this 100% for large events, etc because of the conflict of interest, however for small groups it really limits the playing potential of the group. Is there any way around this (aside from not sanctioning?) so that small groups don't have this limitation?

What we're doing right now is rotating people through so that it changes the pool up a bit every few weeks.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Not if you want them sanctioned. If you don't so much need them that way, then just appoint one person to arbitrate conflicts and play. Having said that, there are advantages to sanctioning (even at teh cost of losing a player). I guess it may be time for your group to take a day or two off to do some recruiting.
