prison planet, once an attack is legal?

Ok, just want to clarify this. Once an attack is legal it can not me made not-legal unless all attackers are removed from the attack or the defender is removed from the attack, correct?

This in mind, may I flip over prison planet after an attack is legal to give all my characters (including the ones currently team attacking) +2 attack?

Just to clarify a little further...

Removing an attacker or defender from the attack would not make the attack illegal, the attack would still conclude, just without that particular attacker or defender.

Removing a PROPOSED attacker or defender would make the attack illegal though.
