Spirit Barrier + Astral Barrier

Situation: I have a monster on the field and both Spirit Barrier and Astral Barrier are activated, I allow the attacking monster to direct attack my life points using the Astral Barrier effect, the damage is then called Direct Damage.

Question: Is Direct Damage to the life poinst from an attacking monster also considered Battle Damage?

Yes. Spirit Barrier will save you from taking damage.

Yup. I tried running this combo a while back in my Fire Deck. It is great when it works. Any damage a monster inflicts, either while attacking or defending, whether its to an opponent or to a monster is considered Battle Damage.

Indeed, you are correct on this combo. Its nice to see soem others discovering this tactic. Its a little expensive to use up your trap cards for the combo, but its quite effective against a lot of styles. Tasty indeed!
