Now lets see how much "luck" and broken cards has to do with this game and how much depends on the abilties of the deck builder and skill of the player.

Personally, I only really feel bothered by Pot of Greed being banned. But since EVERYONE used it, and now NO ONE can... no biggie.

Interesting that Exchange of the Spirit is limited, Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow goes off the list, but Makyura still stays banned.

I just Love this list, it will force all player to apply some re-engineering to their decks.

CC Decks won't be so frequent or at least so identical

Royal Decree (3 in one deck too powerful)

Maybe, and just maybe unban

Mill decks are the deck out decks. The ones that make your opponent keep drawing all their cards usually in one turn.

Stall Decks. People are going to have to use cards like "Hidden Book of Spells" to get their most precious Spell Cards back to hand, since using A Feather of the Phoenix and Sinister Serpent are no longer available, and Night Assailant has been tagged as Endangered.

Bye-bye Pot of Greed. An only-one-card-that-doesn't-effect-the-rest-of-the-deck

Hello Pot of Greediness, it gives the same card advantage that Pot of Greed does, but is even better when you really need a monster in top-deck mode. But pot of Avarice will not work well on its own so everybody will have to add at least 3 support cards to make it work relaibly (Thunder Dragons come to mind reliably).

Now what allows more creativity? a card that takes up only 1 spot in your deck, leaving 39+ remaining that can be anything you want. Or a card that takes up at least 4 spots in your deck (likely more) leaving you with only 36 spots to be creative with.

Well at least we have 2 months before the cookie-cutter emerges...

Now what do we say to the kids that bring their "tournament ready for advanced format" structure decks that are not legal for advanced play?

Can i mail in my Pot of Greed and Tribe Infecting Virus from those structure deck and demand that they provide a suitable replacements (Pot of Greediness and Dark Hole?)

On the plus side, i do like that Traditional and Advanced are allowed different restrictions.

This makes me want to rebuild my beatdown from back before the first ban list. Gonna be very interesting to see the direction of the game over the next few months.
