The Game
After playing CC for 4 months and finally getting my invite a few weeks back, I decided to delve once again into the wonderful world of the rogue deck. This is the most promising thing I've built so far - it performed very well at my local, winning the tourny w/ all 2-0s but one match. There is still room for improvement, and if it turns out to be big I want to give it a cool name (along the lines of Soul Control or Flip-Flop).
Speaking of Soul Control and Flip-Flop, this deck is sort of like a hybrid of the two. The premise is to use Solemn Judgment/Mask of Darkness to:
1. Protect your monsters so you can tribute them
2. Prevent a game-winning move
3. Get your opponent into an infinite lock w/ Tsukuyomi
4. Negate 2 for 1's
The rest is just basic Soul Control, with innovative stall/tech in Golem Sentry. Dekoichi aka The Crazy Train can provide insane card advantage w/ Tsuku... and Magician of Faith is a no-brainer. Spirit Reaper is godlike when coupled w/ Thestalos, and it acts as stall/tribute fodder as well. Night Assailant can help prevent annoying Old Vindictive Magician locks by stopping Apprentice Magician, and is extra removal in general. Finally, Pot of Avarice says "I'm going to be a jerk and recycle everything good..."
So it's up to you guys to give it a great name, preferably not using the words "Soul," "Flip," or "Walnut." Feel free to make suggestions on the deck as well (though I may laugh at them
) Concentrate on the sidedeck; I have no idea where I want to go w/ that (aside from anti-OTK/Burn). Thanx for looking!
