Earthbound Linewalker and inf loop

if you have Earthbound Linewalker and a Earthbound Immortal and no field wont it just keep trying to destroy itself over and over endlessly making a Infinite Loop

I'm pretty sure the "destroy me if there's no Field Spell Card" effect is a Continuous one. There's no such thing as a loop if the only things happening are Continuous effects.

Besides, they wouldn't invent a card that would obviously cause an infinite loop, particularly in just a 2 card combo.

earthbound linewalker reads that they cannot be destroyed by there own effects meaning the effect to destroy themselves wont destroy them. its not a loop they just worded earthbound linewalker funny. im sure itll be put in the errata soon to make it clearer.

yea i agree with maruno they wont make obvious card loops again. they learned their lessen after the butterfly dagger combo.

Infinite loops really only occur when multiple effects keep triggering off of one another. Continuous "always on" effects are another matter. They just keep looking to see if they can apply themselves again, if for some reason they were prevented from doing what they do.
