To be more precise in your question, the monster that declared attack is destroyed and its attack is negated unless as anthony said it managed to survive.

Just wondering, spirit reaper's text says that its destroyed if it's targeted by a spell,trap or effect monster. So if I target it with blowback or barrel dragon and even if all 3 coins's results are tails spirit reaper is destroyed? Your answer for this epic question is appreciated.
