that is because divine wrath has a spell speed 3 being a counter trap.
CED cannot be chained to cyber jars effect because its just a normal trap with a spell speed 2
heres comparisons:
example 1 (chaining CED to swords)
Chain 1: Swords of Revealing Light
Chain 2: CED
resolving:
Chain 2: CED...
yes, imperial order cannot negate the 2nd part of heavy mech support platform.
its a condition that seems to come with all unionizing monsters, and not the effect of the actual card itself
hrm but since you changed its position through an effect, doesnt that still let you change its position by manual through flip summon?
just like how stealth bird can go to face down def after flip summoning it from face down def to face up atk
heh i once pulled 3 rush recklesslies on an attacking mask of darkness to take 3000, my opponent was like puzzled and thought i was giving up till i flipped inferno tempest
either way makes sense: the common sense take on it and the "cards that force into attack position state it" take on it too
but a ruling is a ruling, since we're judges, we interpret the "law" (ruling) not make em.
besides it adds more fun to ditch an old combo and find new ones, not the same...

-effect damage
on the other hand, activation cost damage and maintenance cost damage are in a different...
heh yeah i have the same experience with those people, who resist the ruling cuz it ruins their "awesome" combos
well, ever since i went for a small lv 1 judge title, those kinda arguements dimmed down a bit
oops typo, i meant direct damage *changing it soon*
(probably was too in a hurrt to talk about "direct attacks" as one of the direct damage category)
though im still not fully sure if overflow is considered direct damage
A direct attack damage (thank ye mr. Raigekick for pointing this out) is damage done from a monster to a player's LP by any of the following means:
-damage to the players LP through attacking (due to absence of defending monsters)
-damage done by excess ATK in a "player monster's ATK >...
