Yes, I agree it has to happen during the resolution of the effect, but, Return from the Different Dimension doesn't fully resolve until the End Phase -- when it returns all the monsters that were returned. So, wouldn't the Special Summoning effect remain active until the end phase too?
Return from the Different Dimension = XYZ Loop?
Player 1, during main phase 1, activates Return from the Different Dimension to return one X-Head Cannon , one Y-Dragon Head and one Z-Metal Tank to the field -- can the Player remove those pieces to summons XYZ-Dragon Cannon while the effect of...
One last question on Ultimate Offering:
If I activate Ultimate offering on my turn, without chaining it to a summons or event, can my opponent activate bottomless traphole to destroy all the monsters summoned, or just the last monster?
1) Is each summons an individual event (like magical...
With monster removal by card effect at such an insane level, I too am shocked that Ultimate Offering hasn't seen more tournament play -- it truly is a broken card when you learn how to use it.
I run 2x in my machine deck -- can you say, "Limiter Swarm".
John Danker: I've run UO in my...
Player 1 summons Sinister Serpent, activates Metamorphosis, and special summons Thousand Eyes Restrict -- then targets Player 2's face up BLS.
Player 2 activates Enemy Controller, tributes a goat token and specifies Thousand Eyes Restrict as a the target.
1) Does Player 2 take control...
My opinion is that CoA should not be allowed to be activated during damage step for one simple reason:
The card does not say "negate the attack." the attack already occured and we have moved on to damage calculation.
For instance, if Player A's summons a Kinetic Soldier attacks an...
1) During Main Phase 1, Player A activates a CoTH that had been set for one turn and special summons DDWL.
2) Player B, responds with Royal Decree and asks Player A if they want to respond.
3) Player A does not respond.
4) Player B then activates CoTH as a response to their own Royal...
Nevermind.. now I remember....
It was Soul Exchange that I was thinking about that changed...
you used to be able to use it for monsters that required two tributes then it changed to only being able to use for single tribute monsters.
Disregard this entire thread... infact, feel free...
I understand the "Special Summons" condition on ONLY vs EXCEPT etc...
My question was about the "higher-level" monsters that required two tributes like BEWD -- I swear that at one time you could not user Monster Reborn on BEWD if you had discarded it to the grave for an effect and not...
Ok,
I'm am almost 99% positive that there was a time when Monster Reborn, The Shallow Grave etc.. could not be used on a "High-Level" monster (of level 7 or more unless they were properly tribute summoned before entering the graveyard).
When did it change?
Or, am I completely smoking...
Thanks. I had assumed the answers you provided but I did not have see them in the Advanced Research Material or FAQS to be sure.
Also, adding:
"You cannot return the same Night Assailant you just discarded." to the ruling FAQ would sure be helpful.
Thanks again -- you folks are doing...
Ok, I checked the FAQ and searched topics on Night Assailant and I am still a bit confused:
Player A activates Devine Wrath in response to an effect and discards Night Assailant for the discard effect.
1) When does the effect of returning a flip effect to hand resolve?
2) Can the Night...
