gemini vrs skill drain vrs ceasefire

If I'm not mistaken...Skill Drain merely negates the ability of the Effect monster to use it's effect, not take away the fact that it is still an Effect monster. If Skill Drain is removed, the monster returns to being an Effect monster with the ability to use it's effect, right? Ceasefire...

    Prime Material Dragon

So if activating Premature Burial or other cards that require LP costs would in turn, increase LP or does that refer to cards such as Magic Cylinder?

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

Simon, all due respect, you've given me nothing to explain how Forced Back doesn't target other than to say that Negate Attack is the only counter trap in the game that targets. Where is the card when it is summoned and if it's waiting to be "successfully summoned", how can Forced Back or...

    March 1 Banlist 2008

Has anyone heard what the new banlist will include? I'm not looking for speculation, just some factual basis. I know a lot of the time, the OCG banlist will be very close to exact for TCG banlist. Does anyone know when UDE will release the new banlist?

    Prime Material Dragon

I'm also leaning towards the effect of increasing Lifepoints is only for the controller of Prime Material Dragon. Anyone agree?

    Rainbow Veil

Rainbow Veil only lasts during the Battle Phase, period. If the monster that is equipped with Rainbow Veil attacks Dark Crusader during the next Battle Phase, it will negate Dark Crusader's effect. It will also negate the effects of other monsters that are attacked by the equipped monster...

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

Again, this is provided that I don't negate Solemn Judgement. Seven Tools of the Bandit gets chained to Solemn Judgement and the monster remains on the field. In order for Forced Back to activate, the monster has to be summoned to the field. Both Solemn Judgement and Forced Back have card effect...

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

Per Netrep: Forced Back Negate the Normal Summon or Flip Summon of a monster and return the monster to its owner's hand. Forced Back specifically selects only one monster at time of activation. Negate Attack is similar in that it negates the attack of the monster. So, please explain to...

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

Why shouldn't Dark Illusion be chained? If Spirit Reaper is already set and it gets flipped summoned, it's considered already on the field unless another card negates it summoning. Forced Back, if allowed to resolve fully, would negate the summon, send it back to the hand and make it as if the...

    Rainbow Veil

Sorry, I thought you were referring to Rainbow Veil's effect only lasting for the one Battle Phase. I didn't read into the fact you were referring to Dark Crusader's ATK boost being negated for just "this battle phase only".

    Rainbow Veil

First, I stand corrected as I looked at the rulings wrong. If a monster is equipped with Rainbow Veil and it battles Ha Des, Ha Des' effect of negating effects of monsters destroyed by him is negated. Second, Dark Crusader's effect of pumping it's ATK is a continous effect as long as there...

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

Do you understand activation and resolution of card effects with regard to Chains? Forced Back activates in RESPONSE to a summons. Therefore, by your terminology, it is in response to a summons. While Forced Back negates the summoning of a monster, it is STILL beholden to other card effects that...

    Rainbow Veil

Rainbow Veil's effect to the equipped monster only lasts during the Battle Phase. Since Damage Calculation occurs during a Battle Phase, then the following would be true- If Dark Ruler Ha Des is equipped with Rainbow Veil and D.D. Assailant or even D.D. Warrior Lady is destroyed in battle...

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

If Dark Illusion is chained to Forced Back you have to resolve the chain. Forced Back doesn't get it's effect of negating the summon in the middle of the chain. If it were to do so, it would break the rules of chaining effects. Regardless of what dark monster is summoned, Forced Back has to...

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

I'm afraid you're wrong about Forced Back- it does target. Phoenix Wing Wind Blast is another trap that targets. While most Counter Trap cards are designed to negate or destroy Trap cards, there are some that target monsters on the field rather than countering other trap cards.

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

Had a little situation where we didn't agree on the resolution of effects: Scenario Player A has a set Spirit Reaper and flip summons him during his turn. Player B activates Forced Back and targets Spirit Reaper Player A chains Dark Illusion. What is the proper resolution to this scenario...

    OMG! A Tributable Scapegoat?!?!?!

By the way, has anyone noticed that the recent UDE English release names this card "Fires of Doomsday"?

    mad reloader vs darkworld monster??

Matrix...you may want to read the complete text of Dark World Lightning: Dark World Lightning Select 1 face-down card on the field and destroy it, and after that, select 1 card from your hand and discard it. This is why the Dark World monsters get their effect when you activate Dark World...

    dark armed dragon

It's the nature and pattern in which birds fly south for the winter. Other than that, it was my 'faux pas' and ischemic brain infarct that kept me from correctly writing "Transmigration Prophecy".

    mad reloader vs darkworld monster??

By the way...I think Max Reloader's effect is a cost. You have to be able to send two cards from your hand in order to be able to draw two cards. If you cannot send two cards from your hand, you don't get the effect of drawing two cards.
