Let's try a different approach...
Summon Negators do not have the same timing as cards that respond to summons ("Torrential Tribute", "Bottomless Trap Hole", etc...).
Summon Negators are activated before the monster is considered to be successfully summoned to the field.
Cards like "Torrential...
Because Counter Traps do not target. Like I said before, there is only one Counter Trap in the game that targets (at this time).
You can argue all you want, but I've given you the reason why.
Don't be too surprised if "Voltanis" doesn't change. If I'm not mistaken, "Van'dalgyon" was out in Japan well before "Voltanis" was so "Voltanis" actually has a newer mechanic.
There is currently only one Counter Trap in this game that targets......"Negate Attack".
Every other Counter Trap in this game does not target.
The original scenario is not a legal play since "Forced Back" does not target "Spirit Reaper".
They do not have the same ruling.
The effect of "D.D. Crazy Beast" is considered a Triggered Effect that can be chained to.
The effect of "DMoC" is considered to be a Continuous Effect that cannot be chained to.
This is why you can't 'crystalize' a "Crystal Beast" monster when destroyed by...
Just so that everybody is clear here...
The effect of "Drillroid" does activate and use the chain.
If it didn't activate, then it wouldn't form a chain with "Dreamsprite".
I have already asked Curtis about his answer to that question.
To my knowledge, there must be another "Six Samurai" with a different name on the field when "Zanji's" effect tries to activate during the end of the Damage Step.
There are rulings for "Grave Lure" and "Convulsion of Nature"....
This ruling would apply to any card that required you to put a card into your deck 'face-up'.
Every time you search your deck....you shuffle. Even if the card doesn't specifically state to do so.
It is supposed to be an understood thing.
It's not a very well understood thing...lol...;)
The general move lately with newer cards has been that you cannot activate things that search your...
Sorry Deathjester, but your answer isn't quite correct.
Let's go through each step...
"Frog the Jam" starts off at 700 ATK and 500 DEF.
3 "Thousand Energies" are played.
"Frog the Jam" is now at 3700 ATK and 3500 DEF.
"A Legendary Ocean" is played, thus lowering the Level of "Frog the Jam" to...
I'm gonna go out on a limb and give you this link...

I have a feeling it takes care of your German-only card issue...
As Entropy pointed out, the term 'battle' has been defined as entering into Damage Calculation. If you do not enter into Damage Calculation, then you are not considered to have 'battled' for those effects that require you to.
Just keep in mind that in order to be able to activate his effect, there must be at least one other card on the field that will be destroyed by his effect. You cannot simply activate it just to take the 2000 LP hit.
