Its effect doesn't use the chain though, it becomes active once it's flipped face up.

Well, but Jinzo's effect doesn't become active until Ceasefire is resolving, so it can't negate the effect of Ceasefire. However, Des Wombat doesn't reduce damage to 0 until after the effect resolves, so it would seem that Des Wombat would reduce the damage to 0.

I feel a little silly asking this, but I'm rusty on my "steps of the battle phase". If I have a face up Spirit Barrier, and someone attacks my face up attack position monster (let's say, Enraged Battle Ox) with their larger monster (let's say, Berserk Gorilla). Damage calculation happens...

Well, one theory is that they had enough people who wanted partial sponsorship that they had enough qualified judges without having to offer that many full sponsorships. I thought about going for partial, but that meant sharing a motel room with 9 other guys. *shudder*

I got turned down too, and so did Steve Okegawa. I'm still mulling over whether to go up there to play, but I'll try again for sponsorship for Gencon Indy.

I was thinking about partial sponsorship, since I know a group of guys who are going, but riding with them and staying someplace else, or flying up and then staying with them, both seemed like too much of an invitation to get stranded somewhere. It'll be fun if I make it in though, and if not...
