2 Confirmed Cards from Starter Deck Jaden and Starter Deck Syrus

Yeah they're really being stingy on the spoilers. These are known only because they are the front cards of the pack.

Jaden - Elemental Hero Necroshade
Actually this is a good card to have easy access to now.

Syrus - Expressroid
(See, there was a reason why it was banned at Worlds. Tactical Evolution and Gladiator's Assault cards are not legal for that.) Yes, Expressroid is a Gladiator's Assault card. Actually it has me wondering just how many GLAS cards will be included for this deck since Syrus did gain a slew of new 'Roid monsters in that set. For those interested in the effect:

GLAS-xx016
Expressroid
Earth/Machine/4/400/1600
When this card is successfully Summoned, you can add 2 "roid" monsters from your Graveyard to your hand except for "Expressroid".
Rare

(Yeah, it's a Rare no less. Can't wait to pull that card.)

Couple of notes:
1) By "successfully Summoned" we mean Normal, Special, and Flip Summons.
2) This card's effect is an optional trigger. You do not need to activate it. If you do (and the monster was Normal Summoned) your opponent could use "Pulling the Rug" on it.

It should be out soon so hopefully we'll have spoilers for it in the next RONIN update (which I am also guessing will be after Tactical Evolution is released so it should be a big update).

The thing about expressroid, although it IS a good card (Hey, it's instant +2 card advantage) it picks up roid monsters.

#1: You need to run ALOT of Roid monster to make this card usable, and alot of Roid monsters aren't that good. (There are some "decent" ones)

#2: Although you have card advantage, thinking of a quick good use is also a priority. If you have nothing but monsters in your hand and your foe got good field presence, all that card advantage means nothing. Although with Expressroid, you can actually RUN that Vehicle Connection Zone.

#3: It is a weak 400ATK monster.

----------

Anyway, what I'm wondering is that will it have "gamebreaking" cards. Remeber the first set, jaden 1 and Chazz pack. It did NOTHING to YGO game in top tier level wise. But the 2nd set, Jaden 2, Aster, and Zane pack, it did ALOT of changes. The Zane pack made Cyber Dragon and Chimeratech into rare and thus alot easier to get. (Although even IF Cyber Dragon is a "rare" the pull rate is that of a status of Ultra rare in percentage wise...) And we all know the game-breaking powerhouse of Card Trooper/D Draw/Malicious STILL effecting right now that came out in Jaden 2/Aster packs.

These are Starter Decks, not Duelist Packs. Was there ever anything "Game Breaking" in Starter Decks? No. Since they're both themed though, it might have more cohesion than the 2006 Starter Deck (or the OCG 2007 Starter Deck). But like all the rest, you might find a couple of good cards reprinted, but as a whole, it's designed for beginners. You won't find anything fancy in these decks.

I don't know about that, after all, pulling BEWD from LOD was always sort of difficult compared to getting it from the kaiba set. And back in the days when virtually all tribute monsters were quite pitiful, BEWD was a big deal!

Yes I would agree, that pulling a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from "Legacy of Darkness" would have been extremely difficult compared to getting it in the Starter Deck. ;)
