So, do you guys think he is going to replace Magneto as the most splashable 7-drop in the game?

I personally think his effect is better than Mags. For one you can probably win on 7 with the breakthrough you can get by exhausting all the opposing big men. His stats are great, he has no loyalty and he can stall for you.

I think he's good and Brandon Long did use him in the Curve deck he played in the Atlanta 10K (Brandon lost in the finals to Adam Prosak). He's got promise right there and his effect isn't half bad either if you need to mulligan but want to keep certain cards.

Both Mags and Two-Face have their own pros and cons though. For instance, Mags has range and flight, if I remember correctly, Two-Face just has range (could be wrong). They're both equal at 16/16 for a 7-drop. Both don't have loyalty, but when you look at effects you see this.

Mags, if you're in a game that would most likely hit turn 8 then his effect is good since once you stun their characters, they can't recover them, if you stun their entire board on turn 7, then they have no field at the start of turn 8. That type of advantage is killer. But then you have Two-Face where you just choose evens or odds and then they exhaust characters with those cost. This is great against those CS match-ups and can force a TT players hand on turn 7 and throw them off their combo (if for some reason they didn't hit it on 6). In the CS match up just call evens and there goes Hounds, Mark V, and Bastion... that hurts big time.

So yeah... Two-Face has a lot of promise.. and I wouldn't be surprised if I decide to throw him in with Mags in my CS deck when I travel down to Orlando next month for the 10K there.

Well, one advantage of Magneto is the Genosha combo and I haven't seen a word spread about that... o_O

Sure, Two-Face can be great, but if you can draw 8 extra-cards with 2 Genoshas in turn 7, this will help you a lot... ;)

Don't guess that Two-Face effect evens that out. :(

soul

For the benefit of those who may not know what were taling about:
Two-Face (DGL-166)
Split Personality
If you would mulligan, you may instead reveal Two-Face from your hand. If you do, put any number of cards from your hand on the top of your deck, then mulligan.
At the start of your attack step, choose even or odd cost. Exhaust each character your opponents control with the chosen cost.
Magneto (MOR-081)
Master of Magnetism
Stunned characters your opponents control cannot be recovered.
Its not all bad. But the way I construct decks then I have no need for a controlled muligan. I could end up pulling exactly what I just put back on the deck. But then, the is "The Curse" and all, so I'm screwwed either way. :D

Oli reminded me of what I was forgetting earlier when I posted, the Genosha. I never said that replacing Mags with Two-Face was entirely good, or the idea. My idea is to replace the Apocalypse's I was running to stop Gamma Doom with Two-Face. Since Gamma Doom is far and in between these days, why not run Two-Face instead?

The genosha combo! I forgot maybe in the robots won't benefit that mush by replacing mags after all, but replacing APOC might work...

What about other decks out there, New School could find uses for him, but then again its another team up. How about Brotherhood? Possibly Marvel Knights?

New School could pull off using Two-Face, don't think of it as being another team up... look at it as being turn 7... how many chances do you think they would have had to get a team-up by turn 7 with Dagger, Lacuna, etc. Yeah, you see where I'm coming from here. It's possible to work that into the team up perspective, and even then, don't worry about teaming it up.

I'm surprised Jason Hager and the guys haven't found a way to work it in and brought it to a 10K to reek havoc yet... but now that I say that, I'll end up seeing it in Orlando in October, lol.

It definitely has promise.
