This Deck hasn't been tested once! so all help needed I am a week away from the next tournament (argh i know I am gonna loose but whats the harm in trying?)

hmm..i would definitely love to help you...but can u like put a count of all ur monsters, spells and traps...i.e. Monstersx18 or Trapsx9....etc..etc..itd be a bit easier for me to figure out how to fix it..:cog_cityo

Your never gunna get Gilford out IMO no matter what. That thing cost too much for it's 3x tribute effect.

If he really wants he can run The Blockman and a bit of stall and then get Gilford the Lightning out.

or use 3x Embodiment of Apophis and 1x The Blockman and get it out

i agree with drzero and its too slow... looks like the deck you use in your neighbourhood... Treeborn Frog would help... searchers would too, and cards like Nimble Momonga, Giant Germ, Apprentice Magician that search themselves when kill or something, would help too. Brain Control too... but your giving up too much for gilford... hes gonna die quickly the next turn or mayb in the same turn if ur opp is well prepared and even mid-prepared.
