You can't use Non-Effect Monsters as a target for "Metamorphosis" and other Spell Cards.

EDIT: However, Non-Effect Monsters in your hand is not affected by "Non-Spellcasting Area", so they can be used in "Polymerization".

In general, if "Non-Spellcasting Area" is active, all face-up Non-Effect Monsters on the field are not affected by Spell Cards. This is why "Metamorphosis" can not be used on them.

I can't find or think of any mnst that has such effect...

You can use the Card Registry or Ronin to do the searching. Look for card text that has "unaffected by" and "Trap card" and look at the list. This tool will be your best-friend when looking for rules and a particular card.

Are you sure about that. The monster is tributed as a cost for Metamorphosis. I would think that Yes you can target a Non-Effect Monster with Metamorphosis just like you can use Level Up! on Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6. The reason you can't target a Non-Effect Monster with Polymerization or a Ritual Spell Card is because those tribute the monster during resolution and not as a cost.

Tyrant Dragon is one of your best choices for targeted Trap immunity. Of course Ryu Senshi, the no-traps when summoned elementals, and A-Team: Trap Disposal Unit.

There is a Fusion Monster that is not affected by traps that target him... and also negates all flip effects while face up on the field.... ummmm... oh yeah... its....Fiend Skull Dragon

Yes, Metamophosis can still be used, as the Tribute is done as cost not effect.

An easy way to tell is that "affect" is "effect"

So if a monster is un"affected" it means that any part of the "effect" will not apply to it. Cost is not part of the "effect"

well thats why i ask about the metamorph thing..b-cause i know there are cards that ..even with "Non-Spellcasting Area" o the field u can still use it an get the effect...like Monster Recovery u can't save or "recover" the monster but u can use the Reload effect it has to draw a new hand..

so once again i thnx u guy for staying awake an staying sharp on the Q@A's...
