Big Bang Shot/Faery Meteor Crush w/Majestic Mech - Goryu

Sorry if anything like this has been asked already - I did try searching for this ruling over several venues, to no avail.

But in a duel the other day, an interesting situation came up that I hadn't thought of before..
My friend played Majestic Mech - Goryu (who has the effect of causing the difference b/w it's attack and a def position monsters def as damage, etc) and then equipped it with Big Bang Shot. He figured the coupling would cause double the damage. That is, Goryu's attack was 3300 more than the def of my monster, so it did 6600 damage. Now, I haven't been able to find anything to say yes or no on this one, and I can't feel too sure myself either.

Any ideas?

That doesn't work. More-or-less, "piercing" effects like that just "turn on" the ability for the monster to inflict Battle Damage in a situation where it normally wouldn't. If you have two "piercing" effects, then the first "turns on" the ability, and the second does nothing, since the ability is already "on".

Ahh. Those were along the same as I was thinking, I just didn't want to out-right disagree with my friend. Helped that I was about to win
