Blast with chain vs MST

If MST targets a face-down Blast with Chain and you chain it, then Blast with Chain would resolve first becoming an Equip Trap Card and would become equipped to a monster on the field. Then MST would destroy it and you'd get to select 1 card on the ield and destroy it.
The trick is that Blast with Chain was allowed to resolve in this chain. It has to become an equip card to get its effect. If something like Seven Tools of the Bandit had been added to this chain and negated blast of chain's activation, then Blast with Chain wouldn't have gotten it's effect.
