book of moon

I got the card recently and I was wondering if I could use it on a fusion monster special summoned with the scientist. So it could attack my opponents life points directly and it would stay on the field after the end of my turn. Am I wrong  :?  and you can also tell about other combos with book of moon  :p tnx

Magical Scientist places the conditions on the fusion monster/s summoned by its effect at the time the monster is summoned.  Turning Magical Scientist face down, Removing it from the field or negating its effect after any fusion monster is summoned does not cancel that condition on those monsters.  But, if you turn face down or remove temporarly from the field a fusion monster, that condition diseappears on that specific fusion monster so, when it's again face-up on the field it can attack directly and it will not return to your fusion deck at the end of turn.

The main thing you now have to keep track of is the fact that it was not properly summoned, if and when it gets destroyed and goes to the Graveyard.

Its certainly easy to forget during the course of the game, but if you dont have Polymerization in your deck, it might be a little easier for you, just maybe not your opponent.

Book of moon does work in this manner as it will reset magical scientist effect of sending the monster back to the fusion deck/preventing the monster from attacking directly. another card works like this as well, interdimensional transportation device, remove the fusion monster from play till end phase resets the effect of magical scientist as well. Check netrep rulings under the card registry for more information on this, search = magical scientist

Hmz, XioChaos is right here (according to the ruling database...)

Database:
"If the Fusion Monster is flipped face-down with "Book of Moon", or removed from play with "Dimensionhole" or "Interdimensional Matter Transporter" or "Different Dimension Gate", the effect is reset and the Fusion Monster does not go back to the Fusion Deck, and is not prohibited from attacking your opponent's Life Points directly."
