Boss Rush Week Begins!

The "Core" Cards:

Alright, this week, we look at my Boss Rush deck. It's centered around maintaining a field presence throughout the game via Boss Rush. Let's look at our key players today:

Big Core:
Wow, who didn't see this coming? Yeah, he's a 2300 ATK 6-star monster. He's also indestructible in battle as long as he has counters. and that 2300 ATK will take down anything short of a Mobius or Jinzo. His main purpose in the Boss Rush deck is to stand as a 2300 ATK beatstick/wall. He won't last long at all if brought out by Boss Rush, but if Tribute Summoned, he can stay around a few turns, short of attacking into a Sakuretsu Armor or getting hit by Smashing Ground, etc. Since one of the main ways to get advantage in this format is battle, Big Core accomplishes this in spades, until it runs out of counters. He also functions with A Rival Appears! on their Chaos Sorcerers once they enter their battle phase and attack with it. They either have to give up their Sorcerer by trading with Big Core, or you've successfully brickwalled them.

B.E.S. Crystal Core:
And now the 5-star Core of the fleet. It comes with a built-in Enemy Controller-esque effect that you can use once per turn, free of charge. It's a 2100 ATK Core, but when combined with Support cards that you'll see later on this week, it gets far better.

B.E.S. Tetran:
And now, the Wind 6-star B.E.S. battleship. You know Breaker the Magical Warrior, right? Think of this as Breaker on speed. It has 3 counters that do the same thing as Breaker, but don't lower Tetran's ATK once used, since Tetran has a default ATK of 1800. It may only have 1800 ATK, but it's 2300 DEF and it's ability to gain easily 1 or 2+ card advantage should it stick around is great.

Now, we move on to the other key player in this deck, the deck's namesake: Boss Rush.
Boss Rush allows the Core player to keep a wave of Cores coming at the opponent each turn, but prevents the player from Normal Summoning or Setting. If you have a Core out, honestly, you shouldn't be needing to Normal Summon. The Cores should be able to hand the job, especially when combined with some Trap support we'll review later.
