No monsters and using Ante at the same time? Ante needs a stronger monster to win and deal 1000 damage to opponent, and with no monsters, it won't give any help at all. Therefore:

-3 Ante
+2 Ojama Trio
+1 Magic Cylinder

Using Ojama Trio will give your opponent monsters to use with Just Desserts and Secret Barrel if they refuse to summon and Magic Cylinder can inflict major damage depending on the opponent.

Ante

Each Player selects 1 card from his/her hand, then looks at the Level of the selected cards. The card with more Levels returns to the hand of the player who selected it. The player who selected the card with fewer Levels takes 1000 Life Points damage and sends the card to the Graveyard. If a non-Monster Card is selected, it is treated as Level 0. If they are the same Level, each player returns his/her card to his/her hand.

With no monsters he will almost always be choosing a level 0 "monster" from my hand so chances are i choose a higher one from his hand. That was the point of ante. So he keeps his card. So what. I see a card from his hand and he takes 1k damage.

Ojama is an idea for working with desserts but to be honest it never seems to come out right when playing this kinda deck. Might be worth a shot though.

As for cylinder yeah its a handy card but im trying to go for things that can be chained by way of traps. Its bad enough i have dimension wall in there.

When using Ante, you don't pick from your opponent's hand, you pick from your own hand.
Each Player selects 1 card from his/her hand
Magic Cylinder can be chained to also, since it will be the Battle Step of the attack. Say if your opponent had a D.D. Warrior Lady and Mystic Tomato on the field and attacked with D.D. Warrior Lady. You could respond with Magic Cylinder, chain Just Desserts and then chain Chain Strike, dealing a total of 3700 damage. ;)

damn wasnt reading ante right. Kinda just flicked past cos i was in a hurry.

And when i say i want stuff to chain with i mean i wanna be able to chain to my opponents cards as well. If he goes and uses mst on my cylinder then its useless and leaves me one link short of doing that little bit of extra damage.

In that case maybe some Jar of Greeds can work instead for play preference. Chainable to removal and will dig through the deck for neccessary pieces.

Jinzo, Royal Decrees and Spell Cancellers (side decked in almost all of my decks) will shut you down and leave you wide open. Maybe you can find some Monsters that have effects that damage your opponent, that you can chain to as well. Or, I mean, even with Cyber Dragons (nobody ever thinks about chaining to these effects)....."I activate my Cyber Dragon's effect to Special Summon him and (before he even hits the field), chain the following....."
Chiron the Mage has a semi-decent ATK, and can destroy a Decree. It's effect can also be chained to. Just some thoughts.

I think those cards just slow the deck down. If you're looking for monsters to add, go for Mecha Dog Marroon and Morphing Jar.

I can't suggest any solid contingency against a Spell/Trap lock for a deck like this. Good luck with those.

You know, DarkLogicianOfCaos, you can't chain to "Cyber Dragon"'s effect actually, because it's not really an effect XD It's a summoning condition, which means it basically doesn't use the chain at all. You can't chain to any type of summon, and you never will be able to. Perhaps we have been thinking about this? ;)

The worst thing that happens for the best burn decks is they require your opponent to be offensive against you with monsters, and that's the only reason we pack cylinder, marron, or giant germ =3. When we run into a deck that's burn or lock, we really have to have some awesome side deck options. Also, we sometimes get run down by those locks, etc. but not always. Sometimes the deck gets going fast enough to beat you before you ever draw into those key cards. Now if luck's on your side, and you draw decree, then whenever you activate it they'll most likely chain to it and use it as a stepping stone for those awesome chain cards ;) As for "Spell Canceller", I rarely see him sided enough to side something against him. And Horus? If they actually hit monsters with him, you better start stopping playing monsters, and put those "Dimension Wall"s down XD If you're unlucky enough to have to somehow deal with LV8, I would be darn hoping for that ring of d. next turn!
