Chaos Command Magician
Spellcaster / Effect : Negate the effect of a Monster Card that specifically designates this 1 card as a target.

Ok,, is there anything that specifies exactly what he DOES negate and what he doesn't? I.E. I have heard that if he is the only monster on your side of the field when Cyber Jar's Effect goes off, he does not get destroyed because he is the only monster on your side of the field and so therefore Cyber jar is targeting only him...... I am just looking for clarification what effects he DOES negate and what ones he doesnt since I am thinking of sticking him in my Magician Deck... (Obviously Chaos Sorecerer's and BLS's Effects)

Cyber Jar does not target because it affects all monsters on the field. So, Cyber Jar will work on CCM, even if he is the only monster in your field.

What does target?
Barrel Dragon
Revolver Dragon
Penguin Soldier
etc.

EDIT: Or any monsters that affects only 1 monster; and monster effects that you have to choose your target(s) when activating its effect (ex: Penguin Soldier).

what about Tribe... i know it doesnt target just 1 monster but if you call out spellcaster, wouldn't that target him??

Oh, and what about Magical Marionnette.... He cant take him out either can he???

TIV: No. TIV does not target either, even if it will only take out one monster.
It says "destroy all face-up monsters", so that is the hint that it does not target.

Magical Marionette has a targeting Ignition Effect. So it targets. It says "destroy 1 monster on the field", so that is the hint that it targets

He cannot be the target of an effect-type monster.

Cards like:

Man-Eater Bug
Penguin Soldier (select only "1" target)
Hane-Hane
Zaborg
Relinquished
Thousand Eyes Restrict
Invader of the Throne
Tsukuyomi
Barrel Dragon
Blowback Dragon
Exiled Forces
Dark Necrofear

These card types are not Targeting:
Yomi Ship
Dark Ruler Hades
Wall of Illusion
Tribe-Infecting Virus
Legendary Jujitsu Master
Penguin Soldier (if selects "2" targets)
Dark Cat with White Tail (must select "3" targets)


Remember, Chaos Command Magician's effect can ONLY negate a monster's effect if it selects "1" monster on the field. Thats why cards like Penguin Soldier and Cat with White Tail are not considered for HIS effect if they select multiple targets.
