Counter-Traps vs. Continuous Spells/Traps

The Yu-Gi-Oh Advanced FAQ states, "Note on terminology: Some Continuous Trap Cards have effects that can be re-used, such as "Ultimate Offering", "Skull Lair", etc. To "activate" these Trap Cards is to flip the Trap Card from face-down to face-up, just like with any other Trap Card. Once the card is activated, you may "use" the card, or "use its effect", or "activate the effect." These are all synonymous terms but are different from activation of the card (which still means flipping the Trap Card face-up). The "use" of a Continuous Trap Card's effect (which has a Spell Speed of 2) can be chained and can be chained to. You CANNOT activate (flip face-up) a Continuous Trap Card and also use its effect in the same chain. In order to use the effect of a Continuous Trap Card, it must have been activated (flipped face-up) before the current chain was initiated."

Now, with this in mind, "The "use" of a Continuous Trap Card's effect can be chained and can be chained to.", the question comes up.

Can you activate a Counter-Trap Card to the "use" of a Continuous Spell/Trap effect.

For Example: Player A Removes 3 fiend-type monsters from his Graveyard, in order to Special Summon a Dark Necrofear. Player A has a Soul Absorption face-up on the field.

Can Player B chain a Magic Jammer or Magic Drain to the "use" of the Soul Absorption's effect of giving Player A 1500 Life Points for the removal of the 3 monsters, thus negating and destroying Soul Absorption?

If the answer is Yes, then what other Continuous Spell/Trap Cards can be chained to like this? and When?

Ultimate Offering?

GraveKeeper's Servent?

Messenger of Peace? When?

Gravity Bind? When?

Infinite Cards? When?

Skull Lair?

Any Opinions on this?

This was just answered on the judge list, you were the person who asked since it says "agent_quiller" as the username so here's the link to your answer.

For those of you without access who are curious, the answer is simply no, you can't activate a spell speed 3 counter trap to any continuous effect, but only the initial activation of a trap or spell when it's first activated (played f/u into play).

Helpoemer is correct, but for further reference, the continuous cards it refers to are:
Ultimate Offering
Skull Lair
Wave Motion Cannon
Call of the Mummy
Type Zero Magic Crusher
Frontline Base
Mass Driver
Royal Oppression
Soul Demolition

I MIGHT have missed some, and some are not included because they don't matter (Inspection comes to mind).

Also, the "counter-trap" thing also applies to any card that must be chained to an effect. Also, it doesn't apply to monsters, because activating a monster effect is considered activating the card.

Also, the "counter-trap" thing applies to all Trap/Spell effects that "activate" but aren't in the initial resolution. That includes Black Pendant.
