Crystal beast v timing

I have two questions and they both centre around the timing of the crystal beast effect to not go to the graveyard but to the s/t zone instead.

situation 1)

I have crystal beast sapphire pegasus face up on the field and 4 other crystal beasts in my s/t card zone, together with a face down torrential tribute.

Opponent specials summons cyber dragon and I respond with TT.

TT resolves and destroys all monsters.

Can I then chose to send pegasus to the s/t zone now vacated by TT or is TT still on the field when I get to use my choice. The text says that the effect does not use the chain, so I am not sure if TT has to fully resolve, then end of chain (assuming no other cards played) then I get my choice, or do I need to make my choice while TT is still resolving.


Situation 2)

Same as above only this time face down trap is generation shift. I have assumed that I cannot make the choice as Generation shift has not fully resolved (and therefore still on the filed) when pegasus is destroyed, as last part of card is to add monster card to hand.

1. You would not be able to crystallize your monster in this case. "Torrential Tribute" is still on the field when you have to make that decision.

2. This would have the same result as #1.
