Cyber Jar Vs Shadow of Eyes

Shadow of Eyes Card Text
You can only activate this card when your opponent Sets a Monster Card in Defense Position. Change it to face-up Attack Position. If the Monster Card has a Flip Effect, it is not activated.

Cyber Jar Card Text

FLIP: Destroy all monsters on the field. Both players then pick up 5 cards from the top of their respective Decks and Special Summon all Level 4 or lower Monster Cards among them on the field in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position. The rest of the cards picked up are added to their respective hands.

So if my opponent sets 2 monster, will Shadow of Eyes flip both of them or one one?

Or I am not sure if I am reading too much into this:
Shadow of Eyes could not be actiavated because it was a special summon into face down defense mode and not a set. Is a special summon in to face down defense mode the same as a set?

Thanks
This was asked on another site, and I waned to double check my answer but did not want to post on the Judge list.

It´s special summon... not set, so you can´t use Shadow of eyes in a monster summoned by Ciber jar´s effect.
Actually, you can. As long as it's the "last event".

Also, musszilla, I thought you were going to email the judge list. Might be a better option, actually. Shadow of Eyes has no rulings for this in America, and the Japanese ruling is not reliable for America because of the screw-up with Bottomless Trap Hole.

so a special summon in face down defense position is the same thing as a set?
Its more like a Special Set, as the actual term Set is to place the monster from hand face-down with no effect. I would think the issue is more with the wording on the card.

Either that, or a Special Summon in face-down Defence Position is categorized as both a Special Summon and a Set.

Light of Intervention also "intervenes" in this, trying to reinforce the second thought of novastar:

Light of Intervention
Continuous Trap
Monster Cards cannot be Set face-down. Monsters Set in Defense Position are Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position.

"¢ While this card is on the field, if a monster would be Special Summoned in face-down Defense Position (such as with "Cyber Jar" or "Nimble Momonga"), it is instead Special Summoned in face-up Defense Position.

Its not so much that you are reading to much into it... your question is definately legitimate considering the fact that Setting is a specific defined action.

Its more the fact that they have never created an actual term for Special Summoning a monster in face-down Defence Position.

If they were going to rule it as such then maybe the wording should have been:

"You can only activate this card when your opponent Special Summons or Sets a Monster Card in Defense Position. Change it to face-up Attack Position. If the Monster Card has a Flip Effect, it is not activated."

That to me would have made it quite clear.
