D.D. Warrior Lady Vs. Newdoria

Hey people! Here's the scenario...:

Player A - Face up Newdoria
Player B - Summons D.D. Warrior Lady and proceeds to attack

What would happen...?

In my thinking if I'm correct, Mandatory effects are placed on the chain first followed by optional.... So Link 1 Newdoria,Link 2 DDWL?

Nope, as I understand it it's:
Turn Player Mandatory
Non-TP Mandatory
TP Optional
Non-TP Optional.

Really not 100% clear on it myself as UDE have yet to really give anything official on it even though it does make sense.

Both Masterwoo0's and daivahataka's analysis are correct here.

What's important to realize is that this order....

Turn Player Mandatory
Non-TP Mandatory
TP Optional
Non-TP Optional

...is how it goes ON the chain. It, of course, resolves in reverse order of that.

One more thing to note here....

[edit]Removed post cause I'm an idiot who wasn't paying attention and rattled off before I thought about what I was saying.

Forgive me for putting my 2 cents in, but isn't Newdoria's effect a graveyard effect? The card says it has to be sent to the graveyard. DD Warrior Lady's effect states that it happens right after damage calculation, which would be before monsters are sent to the graveyard, and before Newdoria's effect even activates in the first place.

This has nothing to do with mandatory vs optional - Newdoria must be in the graveyard for its effect to activate, and since it never gets there, its effect never activates. There is no "chain link 1 and 2" and no "mandatory vs. optional."

Even though FLIP effects (like Fiber Jar) would resolve between the "calculate and apply damage" and "send to graveyard" parts of the damage step, Newdoria is NOT a flip effect. Its effect does not happen until after the "send to the graveyard" and long after DD's effect activates and resolves.

Not sure why everyone is making it more complicated.

**SMACK**!!

Wow...thanks, I needed that!

Thank you Jeff, and Rai. I DID completely forget it was a Graveyard effect.

I apologize!

I was saying Mandatory Effects are placed on the chain first. I may have erred in not going back to say that in this case, it doesnt matter, but I thought saying that "If D. D. Warrior Lady does not activate her effect..." was enough. Even though its a Graveyard effect, D. D. Warrior Lady still has to activate her effect in order to prevent his from activating.

His effect is still mandatory when Battling another monster, say, Exarion Universe, who doesn't have an effect that activates after the Damage Step, but that's neither here nor there.
