Damage Condenser X2

Just some reassurance on this one, folks.

The question was, when you take battle damage, can you chain Damage Condenser to Damage Condenser.

My answer is, because the cost for the first Damage Condenser is to discard a card, the last event to happen before activating the second Damage condenser is no longer taking battle damage, but discarding a card, so timing will no longer be correct for the second Damage Condenser.

If, however, there was no discard (or other) cost, then timing would be correct and you could chain one to another (e.g. Chthonian Blast, et al.).

What do you say?

Yeah I'd have to say you could chain Damage Condenser to itself. After all, if I declare an attack and my opponent responds with Raigeki Break, they still could chain Widespread Ruin to that.

Or in response to a Summon, I summon, they attempt to respond with Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, I decide to chain Torrential Tribute. The "Discard for Cost" doesn't throw that off.

densetsu is correct. You can chaing them back to back. Nothing has resolved yet. All you've done is activate a card. Paying the cost for that activation doesn't change the last thing to have resolved.
