Dark World + Morphing Jar + Creature Swap

If a "Morphing Jar" on your opponent's side of the field activates its effect, your opponent will control the effect of "Morphing Jar." Because they control the effect, your Dark World monster(s) in your hand will be discarded by your opponent's card effect.

Am I understanding this response correctly? As I read it, if I use Creature Swap to send my face down Morphing Jar over to my opponent's side of the field, then hit it with the monster I received from my opponent, any Sillva or Goldd monsters that are discarded will receive their secondary effects, just as they would if the Morphing Jar belonged to my opponent. Is that how you guys interpret this?

I remeber... WAAYYY back in the old days... Like 7 or 8 months ago, when I got my first EEN spoiler (yes, I had one back then. No, I'm not telling how) there were a few translation errors. The Berserk King, or whatever he's called, had a MANDATORY effect. The Silver, Gold, and Beige had OPTIONAL effects. So when he dealt damage, you HAD to discard. The big story back then was how you could Creature Swap him to the opponent, then ram your Giant Germs head long into him... Deplete thei life and their hand at the same time, then kill him with the monster you took from your opponent. Guess what? Now you've got 3 germs and a Dark Realm in the grave, you know what comes next...

The card to watch out for with these guys USED to be Creature Swap, until Gold ans Silva became mandatory, and King became optional. NOW it's Morphing Jar.

Given EEN came out in Japan around August what you are saying is impossible and improbable.

Impossible AND improbable? Wow, so the probability of me being correct is both a number near 0 and at the same time exactly 0? Man, I feel bad. Well, thanks for setting me straight, I must've really misunderstood myself. Which can happen, you know.

That combo does some real damage to the player for sure, like today while dueling online, a guy flipped Morphing Jar and discarded 2 Sillvas and 1 Goldd, he almost cried when he saw those go to the Graveyard :).

Good! Let's see just how far off topic I can push this thread before DJ comes in and slaps me:

This is where I have to point out the Dark Realm's failings. WAAAYYYY back when I first began testing them (which is improbable and impossible) I learned after a few days of play that they simply aren't what they appear to be. Let's take a look at that scenario you just pointed out. What if he DIDN'T draw the Morphing Jar / Creature Swap combo? He'd have been stuck with a handful of 3 tributes that don't do anything for him. Had the combo not come along, he would probably have lost the duel from bad topdecks. Now I know what you're thinking: "But a lot of the time you only draw one or two Dark Realms, so you don't lose as much advantage if the combo never works." But the flip-side of that is you don't GAIN as much advantage if it DOES work. What's the point of executing an elaborate combo to discard one Silva? You don't gain enough to compensate. No matter which way you cut it, Dark Realm is to Chaos as Royal Decree is to Jinzo. They may look just as broken, but one has inherent flaws that the other does not.

Well in any case, it's not that hard to get them out, which is what I use them for, not so much for their effects exactly, but for their Special Summoning ability...

Dark World Lightning anyone???

Also, another way is to set multiple Spell & Trap cards and have Dark Deal set as well...then when they try to play a Spell Card, activate Dark Deal, I discard a card from my hand, and chances are that it'll be a Dark World monster, and simple as that, effect kicks off...Paying 1000 to get my monster's effect & basically negate the Spell Card? Yes please!

Dark Realms vs. Chaos

bad Dark Realms Hand:
2 x Goldd & 2 x Sillva......

bad chaos hand
Airknight, Jinzo, Cyber Dragon, Chaos Sorcerer
(this is like turn 15 and you only have 4 dark in the graveyard)

Which has a better chance of topdecking a savior?

Dark Realms : Card Destruction, Dark World Lightning, Dark Deal

Chaos: Reinforcement of the Army (light/warriors) or one of the 4 star or less light/warriors you might search with reinforcement

AND for Dark Realms if you get Card Destruction your in REALLY good shape. No comparison.

P.S. I have seen that hand and situation in games of my own. The chaos of course, haven't got the cards for Dark Realms yet
