Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive
(DARK/Machine/4/1400/1000)
FLIP: Draw 1 card. If you have face-up "Bokoichi, the Freightening Car" card(s) on your side of the field, draw an additional card for each of them.

Rulings

  1. The effect of "Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive" will include any of your opponent's "Bokoichi the Freightening Car" that you control on your side of the field.
  2. The number of "Bokoichi the Freightening Car" on your side of the field is counted when this card's effect resolves. That means if it is flipped, and the opponent chains "Ring of Destruction" to destroy the only "Bokoichi the Freightening Car" on your side of the field, you only draw 1 card.
Hello all. Our final day of Draw Week brings us Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive. Personally, I think it's a rather interesting card, especially with a few combos it has. Still, in most decks, it's only a variation of Dark Mimic LV1 or Skelengel (OCG). It's okay, but not the absolute best.

I think that the best combos with Dekoichi revolve around it's carriage, Bokoichi the Freightening Car. If you have Dekoichi face-down and Bokoichi face-up, activating Machine Duplication on Bokoichi and flip Dekoichi, you draw four cards and gain a +3 or so, which is nice. Otherwise, there aren't many other things.

The advantages of Dekoichi are simple. You get to draw a card when you flip it, which gives you a +0 advantage "“ set Dekoichi, draw a card. Basically, replenishing your resources. Another advantage is Dekoichi's mechanical status. Machines have nice support, and Dekoichi has an ATK of 1400, which isn't half bad. Being DARK gives him a small bit of support too, and DARK is always Chaos (Sorcerer) food. There's also the possibility of drawing many cards with it as well. (Up to five, assuming you took one of your opponent's Bokoichis)

Disadvantages are slim, if not none. The only thing I can think of is that it needs to be flipped, which is rather slow. Otherwise, nothing really.

Dekoichi is simple "“ Play it for advantage. There's not much more to it than that.

As far as the best places for Dekoichi, I'd say that anywhere is probably fine. A Machine deck utilizing Machine Duplication and Bokoichis could be nice, and the prospect of using three Dekoichis is always available.
