Yeah i know its like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the 40/50 mark atm but this is whatI have so far...I want it slightly larger than your average deck to compensate for all the thinning I will be doing but I want to make sure I don't accidentally deck myself out. any suggestions?

Sounds like a nice idea. In regards to the monsters though, I don't think it is necessary to go with the 9 gadgets. Sticking to a 40 card build with 6 gadgets might be more appropriate and will ensure Thunder Dragons are more better at their job of thinning. And even if you do get awful monster hands, at least that Helping Robo for Combat will help there. :eek:ldwink

As for spells and traps, it might be an idea to try some Messenger of Peace, sure you have monsters which surpass that, but don't forget you can get rid of it whenever you like. But it can be used to your advantage when you are attacking with your gadgets, and assuming your opponent is running an aggressive monarch build or something, they could be stuck for a good while.

That's about all I can think of at the moment. :eek:ldwink

Yeah I wasn't sure in regards to how many gadgets I would want but the main idea goes as follows:

Gadgets - being that they are self replicating floaters to a degree would thin my deck and provide hand advantage for the Snipe Hunter's (same deal with the Thunder Dragon in the hand advantage and thinning area) making it easier for me to draw Final Countdown. I was gonna use the aggressive side of Gadgets to make my opponent rush and force his hand to waste resources untill Final Countdown finnishes. I was gonna include things like the following to prevent myself decking out:

Feather of the Phoenix
Des Feral Imp
Ray of Light (Thunder Dragon/Cyber Dragon/Helping Robo for Combat)
Spell Reproduction
Recycle

as well as including the basic refinements of a Gadget deck:

Fissure x 3
Hammer Shot x 3
Smashing Ground x 3
Widespread Ruin x 3
Sakuretsu Armor x 3
Ring of Destruction
Mirror Force etc.

I usually go for the Stall kind of Final Countdown so I figured I would try something a little off left field for me :)

Feather of the Phoenix would be neat. Imagine continously recycling your Pot of Avarice to the top to add another 3 turns or so, very handy I would say and should definately annoy the opponent even further. :p

I wouldn't say an awful lot of removal might be needed. You should focus on the spells as opposed to the traps due to the Destiny Hero - Diamond Dudes. So maybe just 3 Fissures, 3 Smashing Ground and 3 Sakuretsu Armor, along with the usual Mirror Force etc, will be sufficient.

Well you see everyone pretty much runs either Dark World, Gadgets, Burn or Monarchs which is why I intend to keep the Traps. But I do agree with focusing more on the Spells. I was originally planning to make the deck 45-50 cards to prevent decking out but I fear that may make it more difficult to draw Final Countdown if my deck thinning is not substantial enough =/

You know, I normaly recomend Grave Protectors for Gadget decks - HOWEVER, I'm not sure that would be the best idea for this one. I am very interested to see how this turns out though...

...Good idea, and please keep us informed.

Thanks :) I will let you know how it goes.

I play in Sydney and everyone round here has just laughed at me coz I know its a contradictory deck but hey opposites attract :p

Basically here if you don't play CC though you phail and well it's bot the most productive environment to be creative with you deck building in especially if you very unfamiliar with deck building or aren't considered a top player =/ and in my case your a girl =[

All the more better to prove them wrong. :D Assuming the deck works brilliantly, you'd be a force to be reckoned with. :eek:ldwink

Back on topic anyways, I can't imagine decking out to be a major problem. Once you get the engine up and running, your opponent only has 10 turns to stop you. And assuming they have little spell and trap removal, they won't easily get through your stall. The only concern I can see is facing burn and gadgets. However, I'm not sure what can solve that problem really. =(

Oh but I have some fun ways to deal with that ... :nod_yes

The only burn run here is Chain Burn...

I have 3 words for you:

Princess

of

Tsurugi

I checked with a Judge and it will work. They always have 3+ Spells or Traps set and even if they chain when I flip summon her bye bye to at most 2500LP

So long as she isn't NoC'd and I can draw and flip all 3 thats 7500LP burn damage. I need only hit them with a ring to kill them.

I still intend to run other things to counter burn apart from her though :)

Gadgets still shouldn't be that much of an issue with all my removal and round bout ways to annoy them :D

Probably the limiting of Chain Strike is enough to persuade them to give up the deck hehe. Des Wombat is probably plenty to counter burn, seeing how they have little monster removal. Gadgets on the other hand... it might be best to side in Level Limit Area-B and Gravity Bind. Messenger of Peace obviously wouldn't help but at least replacing them with LLAB and GB would allow you to continue thinning with your gadgets and then as usual continue to stall.

You'd think but not by the sounds from ppl i play with. I kinda got a lil bored with the Wombat haha. I do see where your going on the Gadgets... I might wait a lil and see how the deck chapes up before i chose side deck material tho :)

OMG !!

I SO WANT TO USE TRIBUTE TO THE DOOMED WITH DIAMOND DUDE LOL:duel_yes

Probably best to get a basic design done as soon as possible then, might be easier to continue on with it from there. =)

Yep, check my profile for the address, I can give additional help on there if you wish. :eek:ldwink

Maybe you could use Different Dimension Capsule to get your Final Countdown quickly ... or any other card you that you will need at the time ...

That's why you have 3 Final Countdowns. Even if one stays removed from play, at the very least you've thinned your Deck by a card, and your opponent might not be able to counter another Different Dimension Capsule.

Yep, I play one DDC in my Dark Paladin deck and sometimes use it to make opponent use it's Heavy Storm on it so I can activate my Future Fusion and be safe :D But anyway ... I would say it's worth the risk ...

Even so i still feel there could be something better but thanx for the suggest :)

I would prefer massive deck thinning than to run the risk of going to try and get something only to have it swiped at the last minute.
