here we go again.

okay, here we go. THe deck looks good, it just needs some minor tweeking. I will try to give an explanation why I make these suggestion at the end of each section.

monsters
3x Spirit Reaper
3x Regenerating Mummy
3x Pyramid Turtle
3x Vampire Lord
2x Ryu Kokki
Patrician of Darkness
Despair from the Dark
Cyber Jar

You Monsters look good. I am a bigger fan of Royal Keepers over Regenerating Mummy but that is your call. You could always replace one Spirit Reaper and one Regenerating Mummy with 2 Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower so you can lock down your opponent from attacking.

magic
3x Book of Life
Premature Burial
noc
Brain Control
Nobleman of Extermination
Fissure ******************(-1)
Snatch Steal
Dark Hole
Call of the Mummy
Book of Moon
Swords of Revealing Light
Hammer Shot**************(I agree with pssvr, -1)
mst
Lightning Vortex************(-1)
Heavy Storm
Confiscation***************(-1)
*****************Soul Exchange
*****************Card Destruction
*****************Smashing Ground
*****************Shallow Grave

I am not a big Fissure fan. I think that Smashing Ground does a better job. I notice that a lot of people like using Lightning Vortex with decks like this for field control dealing with warrior decks. I think that if you use cards like Card Destruction, you can prevent warrior swarms before they happen and it allows you to get zombies into the graveyard quickly so you can use shallow grave or Premature Burial to bring back a zombie for you on the field. By the way, think about Monster Reincarnation in a deck like this so you can bring a Spirit Reaper back from the Grave to your deck. Soul Exchange is always nice if you need to tribute to get a stronger/higher level card onto the field.

traps
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
Torrential Tribute
Magic Cylinder
Call of the Haunted

Your traps are very good here.

side
2x Fissure************(-2)
2x Double Snare[bye Jinzo,decree,Mirage Dragon/pitchblack warwolf]*************(-1)
pheonix wing wind blast
solemn judgement
pitch black warwolf*****(-1)
Creature Swap
The Shallow Grave******(+1)
Abyssal Designator
Threatening Roar
Royal Decree
Ultimate Offering
Ryu Kokki
Riryoku
*******************+1 Bottomless Trapholes
*******************System Down
*******************My Body as a Shield
I hope the side deck is self explanitory. If not, PM me. Overall, this is a very good deck. Just some minor tweeks and it should work nicely.

well with dark world coming on the horizon i don't want to help them.everybody and there unborn son uses the stupid marauding lock so Fissure actually helps.reaper is for a lock using pratrician.why System Down I don't have much trouble with Cyber Dragon.vortex is for field control and as a discard engine.

As far as Patrician and Spirit Reaper, it's a great lock but it has it's limits. Just look up the rulings dealing with Asura Priest. That's the only reason I suggest Soul-Absorbing Bone Towers. I have run into so many dang Cyber Dragons it drives me batty. I also understand with Vortex.

yeah, I think that is the one card I really need to get a hold of to speed my zombies to the max. and allow me to swarm quickly.

Funnily enough I helped fix my friend's Zombie Deck as well last night so some ideas are still fresh in my head.

Firstly, the monsters I feel is a major problem to the deck. I feel there are way too many tributes and the tributes are running in near the same number as non-tributes being 10:7
Confiscation has been played less from what I've heard, but it's excellent for the side-deck to help go against "combo" decks, for example OTKs or even FTKs (if any exist yet). Therefore....

- 1 Despair from the Dark
- 3 Regenerating Mummy
- 1 Ryu Kokki

That'll free up a good 5 monster slots to play with and experiment with. With a lot of magics and quite a bit of dependency on them (eg. Call of the Mummy, Book of Life), there is no reason to not run Magician of Faith. Also, I'm sure it's no harm to include a D.D. Warrior Lady to clear the field for a direct hit from Vampire Lord or Ryu Kokki etc etc. Giant Rat will also do brilliantly I feel in this deck with the Pyramid Turtles in it. In that case you could also consider running Exiled Force which has good speed for clearing a field of both face-up and face-down monsters with their effects probably not activating.

+ 1 Magician of Faith
+ 1 Giant Rat
+ 1 D.D. Warrior Lady
+ 1 Exiled Force

I can't really decide on the last monster slot but I'll think of something later. Note that the Giant Rat can search for Pyramid Turtles for suiciding to bring out the bigger monsters or to search out for an Exiled Force to help clear the field.

As for magics, I think the Nobleman of Extermination really just won't do a lot of help and could risk losing a trap for you. Also, as sirch1964 has already mentioned, the Lightning Vortex can be a dead draw a lot of the time, reducing your hand quite fast, although again as sirch1964 mentioned, it's good for against warrior swarms so you should definately side deck it. Confiscation should move to the side-deck also as it is also a dead draw a lot.

- 1 Nobleman of Extermination
- 1 Lightning Vortex
- 1 Confiscation

In Exchange for all of those, you shoud have maindecked another Fissure since I also find them handy as well, the only down side to them is when facing Scapegoats :p

+ 1 Fissure

I believe that should be around 3 slots open now. Finally onto the traps. With only 5 traps you have a low percentage of drawing any at all. So here is my suggestion...

+ 2 Dust Tornado

Dust Tornado will be handy to clear the field and usually can leave your opponent with no Magic/Traps when they end their turn, if you had Dust Tornado already set and activated it during the opponent's End Phase.

With the last slot you should add in a monster but preferably not one with a tribute. Hang on! Just thought of it...

+ 1 Sangan

This will provide a lot of purpose in this deck especially with 11 monsters that are searchable by it.

So the new line-up in my opinion should be....

As for recommendations to the Side Deck, always look for reasons why you lose. For example if you pulled a card as a dead-draw but did brilliantly against a certain deck type, you should side deck it. Also if you realised your opponent always had too many monsters, you should have Lightning Vortex probably in your Side Deck.

But from what I mentioned earlier, these two should be in your side deck...

[/url]1x Lightning Vortex
1x Confiscation

Other cards I would recommend would be a Mystic Swordsman LV2, Swarm of Locusts I use against Burners, Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell, and maybe even an Elephant Statue of Disaster which had saved me recently =)

Note: This deck fix is based on the original deck list which started this thread.

well the low trap count is for decree[it runs very rampant in my meta] uh the monsters are fine for except mabye i'll put in mof and Sangan[i forgot to put one one in]. the Lightning Vortex is usually in my opening hand or when i need it so I don't have a problem with it.
the reason i lose a lot is because every time i go i have to either face ed,matt, george,or brandon[best players in the tournys] and they get these major yugi-esgue[that's saying a lot] topdecks.
and as i quote this

matt is quoted to have said:
ed you're always lucky and really don't rely on skill do you.\

also i put in Tribute to The Doomed for Hammer Shot.and i faced ed in the first round yesterday and got 2-1 in his favor.

I fear the day your hit a bind deck with this. With only an MST and a Heavy Storm, and a Nobleman of Extermination to sweep away any bind cards (and only a Royal Decree in your side deck) you chances of getting past the bind cards are minimal.

john has a strong point there. You really need to prep for all occasions I think, especially with Zombie decks. Too many variables that can really screw you if your not ready.

Peps had some great suggestions overall but I am still a fan of having 2 Ryu Kokki and 2 Vampire Lords main decked. The effect of Ryu Kokki is a definate warrior deck killer and it has a strong attack for a little tribute and is searchable by Pyramid Turtle. I guess the real question is what will you do if your opponent has a Jinzo with an Amplifier. Any traps you have are Null and Void and he can pick away all day at you. You almost need a spell killer out there or a Jinzo Killer.

well I added in anti-burn.

p.s.- I faced a duelist who I usually lose against and guess what? I won! And the guys brother said I improved greatly.
